Out of the RU-vid videos I have watched, so far this is my favorite method. The guy stacking washers was pretty amusing.

Should the springs both face the same way? On the driver's side the opening is down unlike yours in the video
@EfurdGarage
@EfurdGarage 4 месяца назад
mine is that way, i had to check. But as long as it shuts correctly it should be ok
@thejeepbountyhunter
@thejeepbountyhunter 4 месяца назад
@EfurdGarage it closes unevenly not sure if it's cause of the spring or the hinge
@EfurdGarage
@EfurdGarage 4 месяца назад
@@thejeepbountyhunter check the hinges and the hing points for wear. I would also check measurements to verify it is the correct hing. I have had some vehicles where it was different but it wasnt an a body car

Sweet! I'm going to use my old lap belt (its still strong) instead of the chain to pull the spring, and my lil bro (he's still strong too) instead of the hood prop! But thanks, exactly the video I needed!
@EfurdGarage
@EfurdGarage 4 года назад
if it works it works. i used the hood prop because i usually always do it by my self
