I love Puff Pastry but I prefer using the pie crust on top and bottom because I love crust! And I like the crispness of the pie crust. I currently have everything to make this so guess what I'm having for dinner?

Love his recipes but an easier way to make this is... Take the 2 pack of pie crust in the tin pan. Fill one and flip the other on top. Crimp the edges with a fork and egg wash. Then bake 45 -50.

You’re right Chef; Marie Callender’s has great chicken pot pie! I lived in Buena Park, CA before relocating to TN, and I would frequent that restaurant in nearby Orange, CA.
Marie Calenders is in Chicago and yes it is good, I will be making this with a rotisserie chicken! Also there is a chain of stores in Chicago called Marianos their store made pot pies are big enough for two people and umum good. Enjoy your time off I was off last week and cooked for 4 days, now I need a vacay from the vacay!
Thanks, for the video, Chef. My mom used to fix creamed tuna over toast for us kids when Daddy wasn’t home. We loved that, but then frozen tuna pot pies came out and we loved those!
I agree about Marie Callender's. I can get it frozen here in S.C.. Yours I'm sure it's the bomb. It's ok about calling it chicken. We all do it. Have a great time off. We love you too.
Hi Chef Jeffrey, you’re right Marie Callender’s has the best pies and good flaky crust. They’ve filed bankruptcy and closed many restaurants in Southern California, but you can still purchase their dinners and pies in the grocery stores here. I love watching you cook paying attention to detail and taking your time. Patience is the key to cooking and you definitely have that. You’re excused for keep saying “chicken” we know what you mean. I tried the recipe last night for dinner,I used the pie crust for bottom crusts and the puff pastry for the top crust. Needless to say they were delicious. Thanks again Chef Jeffrey.

I’ve never attempted turkey/chicken pot pies before but because of this video, now I’m going to. And a HUGE thank you for sharing that puff pastry doesn’t work on the bottom, but pie crust does. I was thinking about making this with puff pastry top and bottom, but because of your tip I will make this with pie crust instead. Your channel is better than any of the cooking shows on Food Network, I’ve been watching and liking at least one per day and I plan to watch every video on your channel. And yes I always hit the like button, and I’ve subscribed a couple weeks ago. Great stuff!
Thanks for this lovely recipe Chef Jeff, however, the more crust, the merrier 😍! I want crust on the top, bottom and all sides. Then have some extra crust on the side when all the other runs out. My entire family loves crust so any dish made with a crust, we scoop out all the crust FIRST, then with the leftover filling we attack that with the extra crust! A nice pan of hot biscuits (or croissants) waiting on the side is MANDATORY! 😋🍽🥧🥐

In California, we have Tahoe Joe's Steakhouse, that makes a wonderful Chicken Pot Pie Soup with pie crust pieces added as toppings. Most definitely will be trying this as a soup:) Thanks again for sharing your fabulous skills and giving me the confidence that I will succeed.
