OLD SCHOOL CHICKEN POT PIE
THIS IS A GREAT MEAL TO MAKE ON A CHILLY FALL OR WINTER NIGHT
Recipe
8 pieces of chicken
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups heavy cream
8 oz frozen peas and carrots
1 sheet puff pastry
Boil 8 pieces chicken with celery and onions
In 1 quart of water
Remove chicken from pot and pick off of bones
Add cream to chicken stock and cook for 10 minutes
Thickened with 1/2 cup roux( flour and butter mixture)
Add peas and carrots
Add picked chicken to baking dish
Pour filling over chicken
Cover with puff pastry
Brush with egg wash
Cook in 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes
