I think they changed that in 2019 or 2020... - as that was my second time picking up warframe(2019). I recall it being a thing in 2015, which was when I got introduced to warframe for the first time. There was some feautures that sure made my pc scream in agony, the old laptop struggled fiercely in the open world areas... - my current one can luckily handle most areas of the game in todays standards... - but it won't be too many years until that get's challanged again.
I started when the Meta was: Pick Loki, rush rhino, do star-chart. Way before any open worlds, or Jackal rework we had like 8 materials and the stalker would actually be terrifying since it could kill you for one of your daily lives. The idea is use Loki for most missions and then break out the Rhino for something a little more hands on and less stealthy approach 😂
Back then it made sense why the tenno hadn't taken control of the solar system. Now a single warframe can obliterate an entire planet and they still haven't made progress 😂
@@firstlast6226 I thought we were only making sure the balance between factions is intact, to stall any conquests and make sure everyone is constantly armed, so that we can have at least half-competent allies during the New War. After the New War, it doesn't make sense for us not to take over though.
@@fantalone666 that would make sense from perspective of old game style. Remember, warframes are only stealth/commando type soldiers, operated by kids. They are not an army per se, only a few hundreds or thousands across the whole system. And Grineer/Corpus has millions/billions of manpower, they would just overwhelm them in direct conflict. So yeah, invasions are to keep balance and keep infested at bay. Only when new war was looming on horizon, they started to make an army of yourself (syndicates, railjacks, necramechs).
@@RaystormTheWise the Corpus ship tile set was completely remade back in the Deadlock Protocal update. I don't know about before that but it would have been removed at that point if not already, the new tile set is quite different.
@@RaystormTheWise It was a pain in the ass, as soon as a bullet hit the glass, the doors to the room would shut and you were forced to hack the console. Considering there were 4 or 5 tiles that had these windows, you could get stuck multiple times....
@@RaystormTheWiseit just wouldn’t work in the modern game. Way too many aoe weapons, too quick movement, spammable aoe abilities… you’d get stuck in every single one of those rooms every single time. Especially running missions on public
Memories of a better time... Syndicates? Quests? Eidolons? What are you even talking about? I got a whole bunch of T3 exterminate keys to run! Come on, lets go get that Dakra Prime Blade!
@h9773*Remembers the stamina bar, parkour/movement 1.0, abilities as mods that took up mod slots/capacity, 4 free revives per day, etc.* But in this case I'd say it very much has made a better game. But man, I do still fondly remember the old Corpus "voice" noises.

@mehmeth9773 Yes, but if it would've stay the same, noone would be interested to play it after 10 years :D
They need to bring back old school warframe. As a founder, i miss the feeling of a slower pace, working together with your team. Now it's just speed running the missions, it feels too easy, everything turns into a bullet soaker that can one shot you, you hardly use cover because you can just shield gate and immunity roll, and with the incarnon weapons even lvl 999-9999 enemies melt. Don't get me wrong, it's still fun but it doesn't feel that rewarding. I would give up my account just for a chance to play old school warframe back in 2013-2014 again.....
Right? You kinda need to force yourself if you want to play like the video nowadays, I'd love if this was the standart on modern warframe rather than what it is now.
That old style music and sound effects makes me so nostalgic i get ill lmao. It was a very significant period of my teenage years and the game i played the most. Nowhere in my wildest dreams would younger me playing this, imagine the warframe we have today. It's actually insane.
They still have not given us a classic ogris skin and people really wanted that. The model still exists in game too, the napalm uses it, so really no excuse lol. @@Gnurklesquimp2
Ah good times - Everyone have to clear the room together instead of helicopter your way to the extraction (before the invention of ROFTcopter) - The environment hazard been a real deal - Stalker were once scary to fight with - Mag were once easily 1 tap everything into dust - Camera were a threat since the turret can rip your shield and health apart - the sound of Braton and Braton vandal - Corpus tiltset were the best, it small and compact - Lobby ambient - most of the bosses were basically power rangers except Tyl regor which his mask is up-side-down for some reason
Old times, the time when every room brought an an awe, the game was so new, so different, FashionFrame, MR, Meta, none of those mattered, we just wanted to hop into the mission and have a chill stroll towards the objective, gunning and slicing enemies, we made sure our teammates were close and would backtrack as far as we needed for them to catch up.
i just got back to game. my last achievenmt was something like feb of 2014. and just immagine how different it felt. I mean wtf are syndicates? What do you mean by plot quests? Who? Operator? Why that teenager is in my screen. Give me my ogris back you fat npc. Yeah kinda miss that game
I joined back in early 2017. Even compared to then the game just feels so much different. It's brilliant and melancholic that this game has gone through so many changes
Holy that was 11 years ago when I also found out about the game... I think it even cost platinum to buy revies in that version, at least the refills💀 or just wait a day to get them back. At least I remembered something like that
The menu transition from loadout to navigation then other planets was so cool and so convenient. Nowadays, it takes more steps to switch between menus and zoom in and out of planets.
even this ui had updates though, I was around before lisets as well, but it looked prettier than this ui, but also still nowhere near as shiny as it is now
Crazy how far the games come on, I was trying to explain to a friend of mine how Warframe abilities had to be equipped via mods and that revives cost platinum he didn't believe me 😄
Always very interesting seeing what Warframe was like back then tho i miss some of the old Tilesets hmm... maybe i'll try to do a classic room build somewhere in my dojo sometime also great video & GN or Good Day to you
Ah man this takes me back. The banshee long run farms, trying to take a Latron to Pluto because we didn't have any better, every boss being a slightly larger enemy with no health gating. The game is definitely better now, but there's definitely nostalgia here.
Awww this is after they got rid of Lotus's sweet clean and clear voice that I miss. Also, I miss that soothing ambience in the menu screen, I prefer it over the current orbiter ambience that we have today, and also while doing missions, the weapon and ammo readout at the bottom right is way easier to read than today. EDIT: LOL, breaking the window... I used to do that on purpose to troll people who kept running forward and not letting me loot chests and lockers, I'd wait until we were all in a room and then purposefully break the windows every time we got into a room with breakable windows.
I played this game when it first launched. Sadly, I don't remember much except that there were like 3 missions or 3 tile sets and 3 warframes. Maybe it was beta.
I had a few hundred hours in this back on the ps4. 2014 in fact. Literally yesterday I decided to jump back in since I can play on my phone now. Kind of crazy merging such an old account to a new one and being completely lost jumping back in. Completely different. Side note…. Performance on an iPhone 15 pro max is abysmal. So I installed in my gaming pc, I’m hooked so far.
HELL YEAH, 10th grade, deciding between Blacklight Retribution and Warframe on my dad's PC because he only had space for one. Went with Warframe, started with Loki. Freshest memories were heavy attacking with the Galatine while Invisible as Loki (we couldn't even equip melee on it's own yet) and getting Rhino and the Drakgoon out of the foundry for the first time. Old Warframe was such a great memory. Loved those late night Oroking Derelict Defense runs after studying, my lofi playlist still going in the background.
Oh man, I miss old Warframe so much. I remember seeing an excalibur prime almost every other game, his super jump, stamina mods, old wall running ACTUALLY running on a wall. I remember the Seer being the coolest thing because it was a grineer-orokin hybrid and being the only sniper-pistol in the game. I remember being SO happy finally getting the paris and watching enemies get one-tapped and then looking at their bodies get pinned to the wall. Good times.
I've been in and out of Warframe, often with year long breaks, but there was something cool about that heavier, "color corrected" atmosphere from the old days. Even though there was less detail, it's like they were going for a litte more photo realism with certain effects.
I’m just proud to say me & my small group of friends have been playing this game since it looked like this. I hope nobody forgets what this game has done fr🤞🏿
Wow... This was the true definition of "Space Ninjas" now its more like "Space Farmers". Jokes aside, I really like the flow of gameplay in the video compared to nowadays stuff, I'm thinking on running all systems again with a not op build on sp or normal modes
I kinda wish we could go back to this sometimes. Like imagine if we get a game mode that after certain intervals, swaps through different stages of the games development
Such a dramatically different vibe. God I wish there was some way we could locally play old builds, just for fun. I miss oldframe so much :( I wanna copter through an old Corpus ship just one more time
@Joel-sm2zw you sound ridiculous. Yea lets go back to less guns, less maps , less mission types, crappy UI , enemy health bars looks flat out unfinished. Most sound effects were overly loud and un-tuned. Yea lets not ever go back to any of that. Again take those rose tinted glasses off you clearly have super glued onto your face
@@hoopla5502 people say this about pretty much everything really. They're blinded by nostalgia. Not to say old warframe looks awful it def has it's charms but the game is MUCH better now, obviously.
The way you had to pick the lvls was so unique... I dont miss this since obviously most of warframes content would be missing but this was how it all began....but the inventroy and arsenal looked like sh*t
aye boy..Now when i see this again i can say one thing.I WISH the lighting, the fog,the athmosfere in the missions,we would have that back nowdays, cause right now,is like nothing gives u any mood or passion,is a clean basic graphic but back then,is like, you almost played in their trailers but ingame lol
original starchart!, being able to go straight from mercury (lvl 1-4) to venus (lvl 5-14) to pluto (lvl 35-55) and get absolutely bodied was great. Felt like heading the wrong way out of goodsprings to be met with the cazadores in fallout new vegas, it was a powerful learning moment
Ive only played the last 2 years but i wish it was more like this. I stay away from multiplayer as much as i can because its just an abilities and movement speed competition. "Alright time to test out my sniper rifle I've been buil...and everythings dead and the team is at extract..."
God how far we come. The old loading screen was the reason I wanted Ember Prime cause she looked helluva cool. BTW remember how Excalibur prime was in the codex back then
