Truly the greatest minute and 16 seconds to have ever graced the TV. Matt and Trey live in person, followed by Monty Python, followed by South Park

They sound like Terrance and Phillip

This is 1997 because the episode that it promote is the second episode of season 1

Man this takes me back. For as great a run as south park has had....hard to believe these guys aren't young anymore, but they still do a great job. I feel like I'm going to be spending my whole life feeling like the late 90's were "just yesterday"

Even back in the day, Trey and Matt trolled people about not watching South Park. It's so brilliant!

The irony is that they played a monty python commercial right after the spot and south park was heavily influenced by them
