Thank you Linda .. yes it will be amazing .. and it will bring everything to one big peace .. as it will be like living space .. outside .. plus we will have bbq area at the back of the house so will be another space there as well .. I think when we will finish it will look very good !!! G I think it's important to have vision and try to achieve it ;)

The piece you said with the key is a horse bit that goes on a bridle. It goes in the horses mouth to control it. Lovely work as always.

Another step forward well done to you both. Couldn’t figure out what the dog was chasing.?. He makes me laugh how he still chases the tractor. That little tractor is a workhorse best buy and is worth its weight in gold. Looking forward to seeing the decking area next episode ❤❤😊😊

Hi Donald .. Guffy just found a stick .. (he loves simple things) I think he will always chase tractor .. they have a special bond no matter what we will try to do .. same with the drone .. he loves it as well ;) Gxx

Dear G & Andrew the Gladiouls flowers, are beautiful you have many red strawberries yummy the veg covered garden has very healthy plants you both have made a lot of progress clearing the back and front of the stone house the back looks beautiful now the front will take time, as sooooo many large stones everywhere near the house but you will get it done so just know that I loved seeing Andreu and Guffie having a sleep in the hammock and Andreu stopping his work for the day when two new chickens were sleeping in a new trench near his work also seeing G moving soooo much soil and rocks to help you Andreu

Thank you for showing us the tomatoes which are growing so well. You worked so hard on clearing the broken roof tiles and stones, Giedre 😮❤ the area looked incredible afterwards.. that was hilarious that the chickens jumped into the hole, Andrius!! You worked tirelessly just to make them a dry area!!😅

Cha cha yes Andrius done just so they can have a bath .. what a hero ;) Love it !!! I though it will take me longer to clean that area .. I wasn't waiting for it to be honest .. but It was easier than I though and the stones are just so wonderful .. will be amazing view from the bedroom window ... with sunset ..just need to rearrange the other side of the view ... but it will take time ... Gxxx

We have chickens and a fox got one but between my Grandson and his Dad chasing it thru the woods the fox dropped it. My Son in Law shot at it but missed. The chicken came home about 30 minutes later with a few less feathers! Our chickens have been in the coop since! I like be your farm and your house is looking great! Your videos are a highlight of my day!

Ohh Kathy I hope she will be ok !!! One of our chickens (first attack) she survived as well !!! she took a whole day to recover as she was sitting down all day ... Maybe give your girl some food to feel better .. some boiled egg? they like that and she will eat something at least :) Usually takes time for them to get comfortable again ... Pretty labour intensive video ,hard working as usual ,your homestead is looking great, the item you found with the key is for horses you place in the mouth of the animal the 2 side rings is where you attach the ropes from both sides to control the horse hope that helps.

One advice for you hardworking people. When you build with natural stones use lime or mortar. If you want moisture and funghi on youre walls use cement. Cement is for bricks,made by men. Lime or mortar is for natural stones.

Wow, G you certainly know how to swing a pickaxe! Your tomatoes are looking good, all that rain will make them grow 6 inches overnight! When will you get the roof over the kitchen and main house? It must be super frustrating having to empty the water every time it rains. You seem to have had success with introducing the new chickens to your main flock, all seems to be very harmonious. Great idea to get the guinea fowl as look outs!

I bet garden will be so happy after this rain ... so as weeds ...We need to make patio first then we can move on to the roof .. if won't be raining after tomorrow so it's not big deal to get that water out .. it's 5 min job :) The hens already sleeping together on perches still fightng during the day .. but they getting there ... Guinea fowl so cute !! I know they can scream like crazy .. but they didn't done it yet ... I am sure we will hear them ... :) take care Gxxx

Be careful with sun ... When you have chemotherapy sun reacts with skin and you will get tan 10 times faster then normal ... I didn't knew that so accidently got a a VERY brown line on my back LOL .. and the extra quick tan lasted about 5 years !! I loved it :) was very easy to get nice and brown specially living in UK where summer time is not that good as here in PT

I did lost my hair unfortunately .. it's depends what chemo you will have .. some of them not that bad as others ... and I used to wear scarves I didn't wear wigs .. I don't think it's good for scalp as it won't breath xxx but that's my opinion x

Funnily enough I was thinking about the fox issue before I spotted today’s video. Fox’s always divide opinion - personally I love them and the thought of having to kill such pretty animal, well I could never do it. I like chickens too though and I would always try to purchase a few former factory chickens to give the a taste of freedom. Ahhh, you are such a lovely couple (just watching you, G, praying your husband for building you a kitchen. Going back to the area around your chicken coop, the enclosed area I would but chicken wire across the top too. They could run around outside when you two are near by? You remind me of Adam and Eve, perfectly matched, lovely, decent people ❤️

omg Adam and Eve!!! I wouldn't say that LOL ... we are far from them ;) we do have ups and downs. I love foxes as well and I would not kill them (and we didn't) but then they come for my chickens then it's not nice feeling .. but do live in country side so this is expected .. unless we will get big dog and it would be with chickens all the time ... Gxxx

As you already know the guinea hens are noisy, but they'll take care of any bugs that come near them. The deck will be very nice to have. For some reason I'm really anxious to see your roof done, but I'm sure you'd like that too. I'm wondering if Diedre is the right spelling of your name G, and where does G come from?

Hello Pamela :) My name is Giedre ;) So you just mixed one Letter .. But I was called like that in Uk .. they mispronounced my name is many different ways so that's why I said call me G ;) it's easier . One comment said that Guinea like to run away .. I hope they won't do that .. I will keep them in the enclosure for few weeks before letting them go walk .. so they get used to it to chickens and home .. Roof will have to go after we done patio .. as it will be the same structure so we need to make patio first .. but we want roof on as well :) This is the main thing to go ... how exciting !!! We had to separate our hens when we added to the little flock. My old girl, Lizzie bullied the new girls. Eventually they settld in together without any bloodshed. Your land is really beautiful and you both work so hard. Do you have plans for when the house is finished?.

That's what we though to do at the beginning.. but then we changed our mind and decided to leave it like that .. we will have extra wall space in kitchen and bedroom ... and I am happy to be on my own in my perfect kitchen without any disturbance ;) G xxx

I always do take bottom branches because then the air will flow and it will keep tomatoes healthier :) Plus sometimes they grow new shoots which takes loads of energy from the plant and the main stamp need's all energy :) Less is better and stronger that 2-3 week stems :) I do like keep place tidy .. I don't think I got OCD but still like everything nice and tidy .. as possible :) I Just wanted to see that view from window without a mess behind it .. just needed that view :) Gxxx

:) If they big you can put them in a water and they will grow some roots then plant them in garden !!! :) I did with my ones same already ... But I always nip suckers between the branches and main stump and leave top two stems if you want. But the cherry tomatoes is deferent you can leave more suckers as they love that !!!!! :) That's why I planted cherry tomatoes separate from normal one so I would know which ones are cherry

Thanks dor sharing another video. I have to say Andriu thar u have a very strong drive thar serves u well.Plus that u r an attentive and solicitous husband. It is obvious that u care enough for G.'s feelings concerning ur chickens and fowl and to give in to her wishes. That was a very thoughtful gesture towards ur wife. You both work very well as a couple with a strong drive n work ethics. It is so nice to see a couple such as u that work well as a team. U still have a fair amount of hard work around to achieve ur objectives with the house. Maybe with a bit of luck by Xmas this year u may be installed in ur home.

Oh yes definitely !!!! will put the shade cloth on the main garden as well !!! it will help a lot keep the moisture in and it keeps temperature 10 degrees down !!!

I have been MIA for a bit, BUT I never miss one of yours..... One thing I have noticed is that, without exception, every single RU-vid homesteader I follow has had fox attacks on livestock this year. You must maybe realise that I am living "vicariously" through watching your progress & success so I am maybe? able to assess from afar. These are different patterns to past years. Weather pattern changes? However, onto happier topics.......loving the new chookies Guinea fowls are awesome Still loving the progress & cheeky vibe 🤗

Hi Sonya :) I seen as well everyone lost they livestock .. Maybe fox population getting bigger or they just running out of food .. or maybe it's more people who live off grid and keep animals so they can go to people and take them .. we will never know .. Would like to say BIG thank you for never missing our fun videos ;) It's so lovely to see that we got so many lovely people who watch us as and talk to us !!! I love it G xxx

They are a bit scared of people ... I will have to became they friend so they won't run away ... hopefully they still with us .. we not letting any of new birds out for another week or two so they know where are they home ... like we done with first chickens :)

The second thing that G found was a bit for a bridle for a horse or donkey It goes in the animals mouth the straight part, and one of the rings is for the reins and the other ring on each side is for the rest of the leather for the bridle.

Thank you :) I think it helped that they seen our neighbour chickens so they not that defensive and we do let the old ones leave the enclosure so the new ones could walk and eat without anyone bothering them .. :) I think all will be good Gxxx

Yes that's what I was wondering to do .. online job .. but for now we need to do this house and then I can do some work online :) Or just work somewhere work locally in restaurant wash dishes or something so I could learn Portuguese and be with people ... I am a people person :) G

Рада вас видеть. Вы двигаетесь во всех направлениях очень планомерно и с юмором. Я иногда пасынки помидоров укореняю, они очень быстро растут и цветут. Помидоры созревают в конце сезона. (Это я вспомнила,что томатов много не бывает))).

Hello !!!! Thank you very much for your lovely comment !!! spacybo :) I was thinking to ask you what food do you give to cucumber plants when they grow and give cucumbers already? I made once more yeast and put some wood ashes and today just got 1 year old horse manure o top of them .. I just think they need more food ... I would like to get some stinging nettles as well and water with them ... Maybe you can advice me what else I could feed them ? as they do flower and then little cucumbers just gets yellow and fells off. Thank you :) xxx G

@@portugalitis Всё правильно. На мой взгляд, жара и недостаточный полив . Огурцы очень чувствительны к поливу , особенно в вашем жарком климате. Завязи огурцов могут желтеть и опадать при температуре выше 30градусов Ц. ( У нас такое бывает если забыть открыть теплицу). Из дополнительного питания - настой крапивы , навоз + вода (1х10), зола + вода(0,2х10). Калий +азот.

Thank you !!!! well yes during the days it's 40 in there and during the night is 13!!! what a difference ... I watering during a day so it would be humid and I got a shade on it so it won't be direct sun .. will see how they will do after all that feeding ;) I still got some cucumbers growing in main garden .. under shade they doing good !!! :)
