It's strange watching you guys work in that extreme heat.....we have max temps of 13/14 (not taking into account the hectic wind chill factor - up to 90 kph), lashing storms & flooding here in Cape Town. Lurve the 'gherkin' recipe - so easy. Will definitely be making that! It still amazes me how cats keep so much cleaner than dogs? I know that cats groom, certainly more than dogs, but...they always look cleaner🤔. Certainly applicable to my brood. Have a fab week

I think it's same in UK as well they all scared of everything ... last year I heard that they sacred to marinate tomatoes with skins because it might be poison ... hmm??? the most important it's just sanitise jars .. and you can do that boiling it but I think vinegar is the answer to it ;) Gxxx

AT minut 22.05 i stop the video and I say........Me I would made a box first the Bottom I mean the TOP of the Beam make it Level with an AXE,,,,,then Plank of Plywood then the sides Thick rebar and strong cimente like all around them when its real dry. cut the beam from the bottom with Chaisaw. VO I L A ............. but I am not engineer........lol I have no ideia yet. your. decision. Maybe Steel Beam....let's continue the video.
I would put plastic for the cement not to touch the plywood and in case if nannying and the wood can be used again for few other things. before nailing.

how are you going to reinforced the osb panels for your ringbeam so they dont crack open when you pour the concrete? since you seem to use osb panels you really gonna need to grease them in well otherwise they will never sepparate and youll have chunks of wood in your concrete forever. Are you going to do the rungbream piece by piece? Then make sure you leave the rebard sticking out of the casing.

I fully understand G's phobia around heights, watching Andre walking around on the top of the wall in this video had my blood turn to ice water But by any standards that is/was a damned big bit of wood and I don't envy you folks getting that down and out of the house... Oh That beam was heavy !!!! and it is dry now !!! I bet was even heavier then !!! It's crazy even to start thinking how they done it before !!!! Hello :) Bag of cement in Spain costed us 3.45 here in Maxmat it's 4.50 and in our local builders yard 5.30 .. so we definitely saved some money on it ;) rebar 200 meters costed us 80 euros .. not sure how much it would be here but they can't deliver straight 12 meters length peace (As they got small trucks so they bend in half) and we needed straight ones o that's why we got in Spain
