I am so glad I ran across your channel. You are a true artist Jesse. This brings back such great memories for an old man that was fortunate enough to grow up in Shiprock during the 1950's. Hearing your hammer against your anvil was music to me. Thank you for giving me so much pleasure

I had some old mud flaps that was 1/4 inch thick rubber that I found laying around at work incut them up to fit under my anvil and ringing went away and no caulking mess in the future but great idea with the caulking I hate the ringing especially in RU-vid videos

You make your bars same way I do man. Hey guys if y'all wanna find free silver i go to goodwill and search through the silverware bins and even those metal silver looking serving platters are also sometimes 93 percent silver and perfect for making pieces or practicing with out waisting money but I have only found 15 pieces of silverware and 9 serving platters that was silver in the 6 years I been doing that but I saved a lot of money in buying junk silver in the long run. Paid pennies to 2 dollars max for the bigger items. Also if you have a local jeweler not a chain one but a small local one they will sometimes give you some of the shavings and flakes of scrap silver from items they made cuse the one I get them from he doesn't remelt the shavings or chips off of the items he makes cuse the owner wants every custom piece made out of a solid piece of silver so there is no chance of any garbage in thier high end custom pieces. And also it's cheaper to get a huge block of tool making steel that is already hard as a rock and just make your own punches and chisels and what ever else you want I have made punches and chisels that are custom that you can't buy to make it easier for me. And I'll tell y'all what that ring roller from harbor freight for 80 bucks works perfectly and amazing and huge time saver for making rings and even bracelets or any round piece for that matter I have used it to make custom hoop earrings for this lady out of pure 14k gold and out of silver for ppl, rings and bands, bracelets, and other custom pendants for necklaces. I use it for getting it close then undo the rest by hand for the perfection. That piece you made is beautiful reminds me of the hair piece I made for my girlfriend now fiancee two years ago to goneithbher Mardis gras gown cuse she wanted something to match the design of the dress and if you ever been to a Mardis gras ball you know what dresses I'm talking about and she couldn't find a hair piece anywhere she liked so she showed me pictures of like 6 different hair pieces that each had one element of what she wanted in her hair piece and I spent a good 3 weeks and 87 hours making her this beautiful silver with 14k gold accent hair piece that had real diamonds in it thanks to my jewler friend I put all the diamond dust and shards on it and it literally looked like it had hundreds of diamonds inbeded into it along with 2;sapphires and 1 emerald to match her dress it cost me 700 dollars to make and it's worth 4-8k dollars my jewler friend said if they sold it in his shop, my current project is making a replica of the queens crown and I won't be able to use real giant diamonds and all the other gems on it but it's still going to look beautiful

Thanks for the tips ya been experimenting making my own stamps with old 1/2 inch and 1/4 drill bits lol just wrap em and use the other end is the 80 $ machine black and has a handle I was wondeting if that was useful now if only I vould find a rolling mill cheap I'd be in business literally haha building the inventory. When I don't have funds for silver I melt down junk silver or work on my lapidary craftsmanship as to not outsource the gemstone besides here in oregon we have so many gorgeous rocks nice to put some of the years I spend hounding those to rocks too some good use take care

Sterling silver is 92.5% silver.. Coin silver is usually 80-90 silver and the remainder copper. That bracelet will last forever.

Do you stamp .900 or just let it go? That raised center is best part. Cool.

I'm confused, the Morgan silver dollars were worth more than the scrap weight of silver. In other words this guy could have made some money plus get his silver stock if he sold the coins.
