Hello, at :32 you are holding up a lantern that looks similar to one I've recently purchased. Is there a video from where that clip is from that I can watch?

Mine doesn’t like like that. I’m holding match there for a while. I don’t have a little loop in the generator, I usually have to light it, shut it down because it tries to drip fuel how my lighting this wrong

Frank, my buddy and I was wondering if you had yet done the proper lighting video of the CQ's yet? We each have the old curly Q generator style and they start perfectly preheating with two matches. We also have the later style straight generator with the cleanout valve, but even preheating with butane, they love to flare up. Would love to see an answer from the master himself. Thanks!

Put a pre-heat cup on your generator and make life easy.

Can you do a video on rebuilding a lantern generator please
@OldTownColeman
@OldTownColeman 2 года назад
Yes, I can. In years past I would only rework stove generators but with the prices and availability of lantern generators, I guess it makes sense to reuse them now too.

We have a Coleman 220h one of the burner screens is missing. Our burner cap is frozen on the stem and we can’t get it off. We have penetrating oil on it over night, it’s no better and it’s still sitting. Would be able to give some advice on how to remove this cap? Thank you

What kind of lamp is that? Is it okay indoors or are none of them really okay indoors?
@OldTownColeman
@OldTownColeman 3 года назад
That is an early Sunshine Safety lamp, very similar to a Coleman Quick Lite "CQ" lamp. All lamps and lanterns are safe indoors as long as you use caution and they are functioning as they should (i.e. NO leaks). Ensure you have sufficient ventilation.

Are you gonna do a video on these quick lites lamps with the pigtail generators
@OldTownColeman
@OldTownColeman 3 года назад
Chris well I am going to do a few videos that relate to the Q99 generator, but maybe not exactly on the Quick Lite. One theory video will be about the fuel & air tube and why it exists, and a later one will be on lighting different types of appliances.
