Old Town Sportsman 120 PDL vs Salty 120 PDL Check out my other video for a detailed review on the Old Town Sportsman Topwater 120 PLD • Old Town Topwater 120 ... @Chris Rippz
Here's a recap without even watching the video: The Salty is a nimble fast moving boat, and the Sportsman 120 is a barge that's more stable. There you go.
I had the chance to use my buddies salty love it went to go get one all I could get in town was a sportsman 4 days later. I can say the salty has a edge in speed and sharp turning but is very tippy feeling vs my sportsman. The sportsman is a top notch boat and would recommend it over a salty the very small loss of speed and quicker turning doesn't come close to the difference is stability. Both boats cruise effortlessly around 2.5 to 4 mph. Both can turn very sharply both can stop and reverse on a dime.
I actually appreciated this video. I’m looking at progressing to a pedal drive have a bonafide rs and I think I like that stability the sportsman has. Thank you man
Thank you for the video! That helps with my decision! Sportsman pdl is what I’ll be going with, stability is my reason. I plan to fish a lot on it. Had an auto pilot 136 sold it because it was too heavy….
Line Cutterz, My local dealer just got 30 Old Towns in stock after being Out of Stock for 7+ months. I went ahead and put a $500 Deposit for 2, Salty's!! Can't wait to pick them up in a week or 2. Total Out the Door $4300 for 2. That includes their $200 fishing Promo kit per Kayak like floating net, their new Diesel line of Rods ($140) Grippers, Line Cutterz, etc... Ready to take the Salty's offshore about 1/2 mile out the Mouth of Brazos where they are catching monster Tarpon in Aug. 2022
Awesome! Super happy you are able to ahold of the salty and get out on the water. The price seems good too my buddy got a discount on the salty from west marine for about $1700. Good luck on your fishing adventures
@@freshsaltyfries5078 you can definitely! West Marine keeps their kayaks on the leaning stands that dent the sides of the kayaks so if they have that they will discount it. The dents are easy to remove with some boiling water
Hey Thanks! Both kayaks are great and would get the job done but I would definitely recommend the Sportsman120 for fishing over the salty for the stability
