I don't know if anyone mentioned this or not but both seats are just ventilated. Neither are actually AC seats. They changed it to show ventilated in 2016 as there were complaints for GM calling them conditioned when they were not.
your eyes see more shades of green then any other color so it makes sense to go to green lights so then can be dimmer at night so you can see the road better, idk i like the red better tho
Eddie bad ass truck bro I have same truck 15 3500 Denali hd dually In white I wanna lift it the 4 inch What's the best way man ?? Kit wise Quality build
I’ve had 4” on 35’s on every truck I’ve owned my entire life... it’s perfect, enough to be aggressive but still reasonable and able to work, tow, and even plow all while being daily driven. I have yet to own a gm tho, maybe on the next one
I always liked the new colors red reminds me of early 2000s and late 90s. My last truck I Solder on new LEDs on the circuit boards for the instrument cluster to change them to whatever you like.
Definitely a fan of the red back lighting, to me was always a feature I loved about GMC. I have a 2015 and want to delete it but haven't pulled the trigger on it. It is my first Diesel truck and I love the truck!!
In my 15 2500HD (03/14) the drink cup holder is removable, the loaner weiner that I am driving is an 18 1500 and it isn't. ( from a couple vids ago). I also prefer the moon/sun roof to the split rear window. I've never had crap blow in from the bed thru the moon roof. I turn my interior lights almost off when driving at night ( the lights bother me) I like the idea of the fresh air scoop, but I was a child in the 70's and 80's when muscle cars had them. I had my Duramax badge removed (it fell off) from my hood. Easier to keep the hood clean. The safe is a great idea and next on my list, as is the rear under-seat safe. Make a small styled sticker that says "Eddie was Here".
Not a GM guy but appreciate how much time and effort you put into this comparison even on the little things. If I had two exact rams I’d compare them too no matter how small the detail 👍🏻
Nice 2015 Duramax. I also have a white 2015 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali Duramax diesel. With a 6 inch lift kit and Fab Fours bumper. The AC in the seats is awesome on a hot day!
Apparently they had an issue with several of these trucks catching fire due to the air-conditioned seats. So they did away with the air-conditioned seats on the 17, 18 and 19.
I had a 2015 1500. Traded it for a 2019 2500. I like my ventilated seats better than the A/C seats. I don't like how they got rid of the removable cup holder in the front console though. That was more storage that I don't have now. I use to be able to reach the drive-up ATM money slot, can't do that now, oh well, I like the taller height! The power difference is huge! Going from a 5.3 gas to a 6.6 Duramax! Definitely not regretting the trade. Thanks for posting Mr. Eddie's Life!
Eddie, I have watched three of your videos on your Denali and they are great ! I was a former owner of Tundra 2013 Platinum and it was great. Love the GMC Denali 2500 with the 6 inch lift like yours. Dude, keep up the videos !
I bought 16 GMC Sierra 3500HD crew cab dually new.. I agree, I like the Red dash highlights better ! Your lift makes your truck look very aggressive. Nice video..
A entertainment center in a back seat of a truck is not something that im not use to seeing im more use to seeing thom in the chevy suburban and Tahoe and other suv like thom but if you want my honest opinion that doesn't belong in a back seat of a truck and also where the water comes out there a drain right beneath it
I believe they got rid of the 3rd USB port because they added wireless charging to the center console lid. As you see, yours doesn't have the wireless charger. Also if you didn't know, prior to 2016, the trucks came with a secret storage compartment UNDER the 2 front cup holders if you pull them out and move them into the slots right in front of it.
I have the red gauges on my 2016 and I definitely like the red more. I didn't know about the difference in the seat cooling, but that said I have not been disappointed with the cooling effect. Of course I don't live in the southwest either. Anyway, I love my truck. I convinced my buddy to buy one too. He just got the 2018. Maybe after warranty I will do the delete. Thanks for the video.
Another great video Eddie! I love that you pointed out such fine details. By the way, I actually like the green over the red. I may be in the minority but it seems a bit cleaner to me.
Eddie, good video today gave me some ideas for you to do for future videos maybe show us how you did that HDMI install mod, the difference between stock and aftermarket a arms, you're safe install where did you get it and maybe you can show how it installed I know it's just a couple screws and things like that but I haven't seen that type of one I've seen others but that's intriguing, maybe you can show why you like Fox shocks versus the other types. You will absolutely love the genie hitch if that is Corey I believe he has a RU-vid channel called the truckmaster from Michigan he's got a great video on the genie that you may like to watch. Keep the good movies coming my friend..✌
My lights are green also. I thought the new truck there would have electric side steps. But then Chevy high country I seen last week didn't either. Hopefully in 19 they put air conditioner vents in console in back. Here's a good one my On Star it expires this Sunday so I called them last weekend, I said to let it go. The gal tells me they extended for 3 months, 3 months and another 3 months , I said okay! The safe is cool!
Regarding the power drop down steps on 17's +....Due the bigger 7 gal vs 5 gal DEF tank the aftermarket manufacturer for these systems had a hard time making something up to fit the new tank...Though it took about a year to design, it's now available.Search Quality AMP Research Powerstep & Truck Running Boards ... Looks like the chevy color interior lights possibly saving money lol. And they got rid of one usb thing because the center console is a wireless charging now. And it’s called Gen Y hitch’s by the way. Great videos though
That hitch is A Jen-y hitch you are referring to, I can tell you I pulling 30 ft airstream with it it’s the best hitch I’ve ever looked at I pull a lot of utility trailers also A 20 ft car hauler it’s an awesome hitch it’s money well spent. I also have A 2017 2500 Chevrolet with the new Duramax I love it.
Thanks for the video. So it is so simple and why doesn’t GM give a choice on lighted dash colors? I have a blue tooth key board that I can change many colors and dim cycles, I think this would be a good feature. You are so right I have the Denali and is not fully loaded, one thing is yes I have the tilt steer wheel but not telescoping, not shire why. What would be the purpose of deleting the LML? Thanks again for the time and video.
Toyota has had that type of just turn key and let loose starting for years. If you notice when the truck starts the starter disengages no matter if you hold the key to the start position. Keeps from grinding the teeth off the starter or flywheel.
Great vid, man! Do you EVER let anyone do the custom work on your truck?? Lol. How hard was it for you to add the HDMI plug in the rear? You didn't show if the Denalis have the 2 battery setup or not.
They might have a point with the green gauges. As an Army aviator our night vision goggles are green because the eye picks it up better than other colors at night. Other than that the 2015 is better. Maybe once all the after market folks get all the mods for the L5P and that thing puts down crazy hp and tq then who knows. In a few years Eddie once the after market catches up I'm sure you'll upgrade. Good video.
my dealer told me that the ac unit would overheat and because the vents are in the back of the seats the rear of the cab would get really hot so they removed them and replaced them with "air circulation"
Got rid of a ‘17 and bought a ‘16 because you will never be able to DPF delete a ‘17. I absolutely love the L5P, how it runs, the smoothness and the stock power but getting 5.6mpg towing 15k is for the birds. Bought a 16, deleted it and run a 60hp tune. Now im getting 10.6mpg towing the same load. This saves me 800$ a month in fuel.
I noticed the same thing on my wifes 16 Tahoe LTZ the full lux package I too have a 15 2500 denali that my seats get warmer faster and also get cooler then hers and also the steering wheel heater gets hot with in 3 mins hers takes at least 6.BUT my questions where did you get that lock box from that really peeked my interest
hey eddie im a big fan of your channel i was wondering if you could make a video or talk about the vault u have in your middle console my silverado got broken into n saw u have one at the end of this video it would be helpful thank you
