Hey friend. I'm excited to share a new song with you. I wrote this last week (my first song in a year) and really wanted to share it quickly.
The older I get, the more I realize just how much my habits are ingrained in me, and oftentimes, those are habits that I want to change. But when faced with the difficulty of breaking patterns of years or decades, there's almost inevitably going to be failure along the way. From there, it's all too easy to drop over to shame.
But there is hope! Change is not impossible (especially when the Lord is at work), but it does take a lot of work, lots of failure, and lots of grace and help. Doing better is winning, and a bad day isn't a bad life. Today doesn't have to be like yesterday again.
I hope this song encourages you the way it encouraged me.
