I did this in 2008 and adored it. I did the 2hr ride in (not for beginner riders as they take you near several cliffs, wildlife run-ins, and trails change based on downed limbs etc. It’s a beautiful trail though and unique experience. Oh, and I let them know I was vegetarian in advance and they made sure I had plenty of options. Everything is delicious. I can’t wait to go back with my husband in 2025.
I am beyond jealous! I was just in Yellowstone early June and all I could think of was doing a traditional cookout in the middle of the beautiful forest
I signed up to do the stage coach to the dinner because I'm doing the horse back ridding the day after so I'd rather save the money. Stage coach is cheaper. Looking forward to it.
Ask any restauranteur what it would be like to seat a 200 top EVERY NIGHT!! Thatg is "cookout.. Add live music, 40 dudes on horses and 6 wagon loads of people...It's one hell of a job..I know
This is real helpful bro I kept getting this recommended for my trip and was about to book it but then came here and saw what a overpriced tourist trap it is lol w/ standard fare food and decided to spend the very limited time u have in the park on wildlife sightings instead.
