Stunning! The color blending makes this piece, but my favorite thing you do is scrape back with the carbide scraper.

That's gorgeous. I love the colours you used. When I've watched Debbie blend, she always says to pull the light colours into the dark and not the other way around because the high pigmentation can take over, and you end up completely losing the lighter colours. When you started blending the dark up into the light I thought uh oh, but it all turned out beautifully. Crisis averted😆. Maybe it's more of a problem with beginners and not so much with more experienced blenders.

It is certainly a beautiful hutch, and I do love your colors and blending. No one blends like you... BUT, I do have a hard time with the white saltwash areas on the piece, it just doesn't do it for me. Perhaps I would grow to love it, but my initial reaction is that the piece doesn't need that extra technique. Still, it's a winner!

next time try fine sawdust instead of the SaltWash Texture Powder, do it on scrap wood first and see what you think, may save you money. 😁

Hello Crys'Dawna, thank you for a great tutorial. I really enjoyed it. I am wondering about the inside though because you can see it inside through the glass doors.
