One thing I love about these older monsters is how after enough fights you just know when they're going to do the insant charge with around 90% accuracy
Playing older Monster Hunters as a kid is why I grew up with a ‘what’s the worst thing that could happen to me this second’ mindset. Now I am impossible to hit. I even suspect old grannies of being able to frame 1 charge me in hospital hallways. But I am always ready.
@@yaqubebased1961 I find it that it’s SUPER telegraphed in world. And I mean like a half second wind-up before the charge, so world doesn’t have that bullshit *One-Pixel-Long* insta charge before beak slam like it did back in 4U.
In old MHs, Earplug could mean the difference between life and death. Getting stuck in an animation while the monster is enraged and turning towards you, is quite the terrifying experience.
All those moments of tumbling around the arena, watching the monster wind up to combo the last 5%of your hp away, spamming the dodge button as you get up... and then there is that dreaded moment when your character gets up and is star-stunned... this made me clench so hard as a kid lol

The first time I witness a yian guruga I was like oh a subspecie of an easy yain kut kut. No later then 60sec in the fight I realized this gonna get bad before it gets okay. His armor was good but to farm for it I rather do plate runs then go through all those angers. If ur weapon isn't sharp and ur hit timing is off u are pretty much dead or will die because it poison u.

The first time i fought garuga in fu is pretty underwhelming tbh, i hate garuga gen 4 more due to the speed increase, faster garuga means more bs like gen 4 teo or brachy.
