The ending is open to interpretation and even the actors werent told if he remembers or not. The main actor said he had to decide and he decided he still remembered, and we can see that in that tortured smile.
Choi Min sik is really famous actor I heard that he's playing a role of Robert de Niro in Intern remake movie. If you interst in korea movie. 신세계(new world) or 타짜(Tazza) seaon1 also a great movie to review. Don't watch 타짜 season 2,3 it's suck
Excellent reaction! This movie is part of the Vengeance Trilogy: Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy, and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. I recommend them all. If you are willing to watch something as visceral as Old Boy, let me suggest a film from the New French Extremist horror genre - Martyrs. It is rough, but has turned out to be one of my favorites.
Hey thank you for the reccomandations. I am planning on reacting to those movies as well (someone else mentionned it was part of a trilogy), and I remember watching Marthyr over a decade ago. I dont remember much of it so that could be a good rewatch reaction. 😁
There are many different interpretations of the ending: he has lost his memory, he remembers everything, he has lost his memory but Mido knows everything, etc. The scene where Woo-jin dies in the elevator at the end is really intense. It's really depressing, damn.
I really enjoyed your comments and way of reasoning. I kindly recommend "Parasite" by Bong Jun-ho. Parasite has the unique style of Dir. Bong, which includes humor, thrill and multi-layered social issues. Thanks for your review.
Hi! I saw Parasite a few years ago. It was such a good movie. Loved the message in it, about class, wealth and what is actually important in the end, family. Im glad you enjoyed my reaction of Old Boy, i am planning on doing more Korean movie classics!
a first korean movie that made a name for international level. a movie that was liked by rich zionist media owner in a western world what i meant to say. but it was also loved by everybody. parasite from bong joonho is a another movie. it pokes the western imperialism and colonialism by respecting the capitalism and other parts but also talking mad shiit. watch out for korean media. its more free than america
