It’s crazy that they charge even more for essentially what an older majestic replica would look like, along with the quality stepping down quite a bit, mlb jerseys have always been over priced but now Nike is practically just robbing people with their new authentic jerseys
Fanatics is doing the same with the NHL, 2024-25 and 2025-26 they are still using the Adidas jerseys with a fanatics logo on them but then in 2026-27 fanatics is coming out with their own jerseys for the NHL
I got my Majestic Mariners jersey off of Costco for 30 bucks and just had to embroider the back with Ichiros 51 at T Mobile stadium for 40 bucks, so I basically saved myself 100 bucks
I went to a sporting goods store today to see the new replica jerseys in person. As I expected, they look like crap. I haven't found any stores that carry authentics.
Where do you recommend getting your spare letters/numbers? I just got a 2000s era Majestic Sox jersey and I'm thinking about getting it customized. I've used City Sports in Oak Forest to get a patch sewn on in the past, and they did good work. Know of any others?
Exclusive Pro Sports might be able to do just the front numbers, though I’d ask them first. I’ve also seen listings on eBay for White Sox front numbers too.
The white home jerseys I own are made in America, and both road jerseys I own are made in Korea. I don’t know about the colored alternates because any writing on the neck tags have long washed away.
So if the Majestic replicas used to be stitched and embroidered how could you tell the difference from the authentic? I have a 1998 Diamondbacks jersey and it has an embroidered patch and stitching and I thought it was authentic but people are telling me it’s a replica.
Usually the clue that something is an Authentic and not a Replica is that the size is a number instead of small, medium, large, etc. Did the sleeve patch also come with the figure or was it put on later?
