Had to switch off camera bike riding way too close to the bike in front at that speed..... not on a track with safe run off. Looks like the red mist of a group ride 💀! Guzzi rider was far more measured and riding his own ride, great lines and riding the torque and not playing tune with the gearbox. Smooth is fast!
His name is very fitting. The lines, corner entry speed, exit, it is artistry. Like bringing all those years of experience together and showcasing the final product. Hope I can ride with such grace one day.
@@peterbalac1915See all that suspension bounce? One screwup like taking the wrong line on a bumpy road and one rider takes out a few others. Ride like a knob and you will die.
I love this. Exactly the same speed, exactly the same road, and the guy who is doing counter steering has LESS lean angle than the knee draggers. It's astounding. I guess Fort Nine was right all along...
Experience is worth everything when riding bikes. I think I can say that as a 73 year old that's been riding for 60 years and and passed my bike test at 16, but had been getting about off road for 3 years. I've had a lot of bikes and have a collection, but am utterly besotted with my MT10, which I've now had for 6 years. Good vid. by the way.
Nice video - us old guys can ride. We learned how to in the olden days before rider aids. But this is a master class in lines, corner entry/exit points, trail braking and body position. The first dude he passed was so stiff on the bars. Thats about 50% of his problem. Way too stiff........
Is that a racetrack? You will crash sooner or later, no question, the distance to the driver in front of you is far too short if he has a problem. The way bikers are behaving here is terrible, can´t say having fun, it is not your road. If someone has an accident and get´s hurt, everyone is crying how could that happen. You are just to weak to control yourself, that´s again not a good image for us as biker.
Everybody wants to be Marguez or Rossi. And when someone dies or has been paralyzed from accident everyone is crying and expect their family to take care of him. They don't even think the upcoming vehicles and the possibility that they may heart someone else. My greetings to everyone from Greece . I used to be like you and one day I said enough to this stupidity. Now I travel with an adventure bike.
that's just the thing...most weekend-racers do it - but they dont know why, and as long as they think it looks cool - they are happy , personally i think it's pathetic and it makes them look like fools
@@hedning003 I drag my knee on track days but not on the road. I don't have to drag my knees on track, I could lift them away. I drag 'em because hanging off a bike at a good lean angle at 100 mph on a closed throttle and dragging a knee feels absolutely fabulous for me. I don't do it for anybody else, just me, 'cos I like how it feels.
@@michelledeluisa6200 yeah, well… you could be Raging Bull himself but if you have a Harley Davidson I really don’t think you can keep up with these guys…
In my humble opinion, I think he could have better body position so he could decrease lean angle to his bike and reduce risk of loosing grip on the front tire. See how he moves his head to an upright position, away from the inside of the corner, instead of leaning his head and upper body to the inside. The Rider with the camera does a better job and you can notice how his bike LCD display is at the left side when making a right turn. This means he is leaning his upper body to the inside of the corner. 🤷♂️
This is exactly the opposite what you should do with that bike on the street The more you lean the body the less control you will have when you need to correct bc of an obstacle. Trailbraking is key
In the Netherlands they say, speeding is killing you. Any fool can drive fast, but mastering a motorcycle and above all not endangering yourself and others separates the real motorcyclist from the fools.
When I want to watch someone riding fast on public roads and doing it well, I watch the IOM TT's. Anything slower than that is like finishing in the masses at the London marathon.
Not sure about that one, but the old Moto Guzzis like the old BMWs were tricky to ride. The transverse engine and no counter balancers would push the bike down in right turns and lift it up on left turns during throttle. (maybe lave that backwords, but you get the idea). He definitely know how to ride.
i had the stelvio 8v very nice bike thinking of buying another one but is difficult to finde a good used one, or maybe the new stelvio also a great bike
Smooth! Smooth is key! But sketchy on just the streets like this! I have never ridden a Guzzi but I know guys that ride like this on BMWs so nice fun ride.
Awesome road, and would ride fast and hard too, just not in a group... You are depending on the other riders to ride accordingly, or if gravel, rocks were in your riding line or the rider you're following, it could ruin your day....
Why on earth has that guy still got his panniers attached? It will slow him down and cause instability! I guess he is carrying the picnic for the guys and a few beers it makes his bike worryingly wide but doesn't slow him down rides like a demon!
The guy with the red and black leathers towards the end to me looked right on his limit?, multiple corner corrections, and unsafe in that respect, others looked smooth in terms of skill level.
😂 And around and up again. I know how it is, you get into a frenzy and the route is as if you are being driven through a tube. Awesome... the master with the Guzzi still had 15% air left 😄☝🏼
My only concern is for the family coming the other wayvwhen a 300kg bike comes through the winscreen ,other than that love it and 20 years ago id have been there on my R1 .
I have been riding moto guzzi stelvio's for 13years set the sag drop the front forks and add an upgraded engine map and on mountain roads i can keep mt10's at bay
Nice! Love ACH / AFH.... Been ripping it since late 80s.... Though I prefer weekeday rips. Usually up there on my ZH2 or B King, but been known to humble when up there on my ADV Super Tenere.
Great riding, if one goes down, all go down, never mind the danger you are to other law-abiding road users. Take it to the track, it's safer, you know what's around the next corner and you're unlikely to hit an oncoming car or steel barrier if you crash.
Excellent example of riders staying in their own lane (except when passing another rider) and still going fast and having fun!! Thanks for sharing this great video!! Just Subscribed!
Nice ride, sub 100. I trust very few to ride with at speed. 6 is my limit, errors multiply and things get ugly. A few roads in Pennsylvania and West Virginia we went much faster. In Florida now, really not possible here.
Guzzi rider is the way to go, keeping his own pace and keeping it within the manageable risk. But you amigo, I don’t know what and to whom you’re trying to prove something. You’re on the public road amigo, I would be applauding you if this was on the track. But it’s not. And I don’t know if the guy riding in front of you is your friend or something but, if that’s the case and if it was me, that would be the last we would talk to each other for sticking so close to his ass at those speeds.
125,000 dollar Range Rover and the operator can’t parallel park. 1,500 dollar ‘04 Honda civic and the operator does donuts in reverse around the Range Rover. Never underestimate the operators skill. What really baffles me is using a public road as a racetrack. Got something to prove, take it to a track and leave innocent motorists out of it.
Mattiiiiii😂direi che la mitica Guzzi si è comportata benissimo anche grazie al pilota naturalmente,e di sicuro non con gomme adeguate, anche le borse incidono, ciaoooo
Why so many revs on your BMW1000 ??? Your riding in 3 gear why no 4 or even 5. This engine has enough power and torque at 6 or 7000 rpm. Your riding around 10000 rpm ????
The boomers in the comments kill me😂 literally never stop complaining! We know getting old sucks! thats why we are doing what you did or wish you did, when you were young
