I got rid of my mufflers a couple days after getting my Aurora, I just threw on a thrush resonator and it quieted it down a bit too much for me but gave it a deeper tone. How was the drone on the highways with this setup? I’m thinking of just going this route if it doesn’t open up anymore after it breaks in
It has been a LONG time since I drove/had this car. From what I remember as a very young man/teenager, is that it definitely had some drone. Think, dumped mild/moderate flowmaster. 40 series is a good relative comparison. Not nearly as bad as a 10 series but not quite as tame as a 44 or 50.
@@n8bolton hmmm alright that’s a good comparison, thank you for replying! I’m going to give it a week or so and see if it gets any louder. If not I’ll probably just go with a shorter one instead of the 24” on it now.
I have a 03 Aurora 4.0. I have no mufflers or resonator. The drone on the highway is actually minimal, and I can't tell the difference from when I just had a muffler delete. However, the compliments, and the amounjt of people that say mine sounds better than most straight piped cars is enough to deal with the drone.
