Absolutely Magnificent Olga! This piece is your Signature encore. Those difficult chords at the beginning seem like Czerny exercises to you. Bravo! 🎩🎩🎩🌺🌺🌺
Absolut genial, liebe es auch in der Version mit dem blauen Kleid. Dieses Video müsste Millionen von Aufrufen haben, wenn es nach der Qualität der Interpretation gehen würde.
There's a tendency w lot of performers of this to let a lot of the octaves get away from turn and for it to become a bombastic mushy mess, Olga keeps the voicing superbly clear. There are layers to her layers, easily one of finer/best of this ive heard ,right up w Volodos himself on this recording
Did you know that my friend Billy Meier from Schmidruti in Switzerland is an incarnation of Mozart and few other important people like Rasputin for example
Enjoyed this more than the Yuja Wang version. Also, the end section is usually cheated by mosts professional pianists and speaks volumes about how talented Volodos is.
Wrong. It’s the Volodos version. You can establish that easily enough on RU-vid by listening to both. Apart from anything else, Wang’s version contains the parody of Copland-Americana.
Absolutely atrocious. First of all, these are not Volodos's notes. Second of all, she has no dynamic or phrasing or lightness of touch. Third of all, great pianists, such as Volodos himself, never need to resort to these kinds of music videos. This lady is not a musician, she is a cheap entertainer.
Sounds like Wang's notes to me. But otherwise I think you're way too harsh on her, taking a bit of liberty with this video does not diminish her skills. I personally prefer her playing Turkish March here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E1kM2fV9eCI.html
What are you on about? Exactly what do you not find up to standard? If she had no lightness of touch she could not even play in this tempo. Although not the fastest interpretation out there, it is very musical and incredible technique. You must be a real loser or somthing. You probably wouldnt be able to play one bar of this piece. There are interpretations which I like better but doesnt make this 'atrocious'. Get a life and lighten up.
The beauty of music is that it can be experienced in almost limitless variety and no one person's opinion is definitive. How much more boring the world would become if more people thought like you. I hazard a guess that you are not able to play music at the level of art which Ms Scheps does, very few people can, so whilst your like or dislike of this piece is up to you to label this performance as 'atrocious' is somewhat ridiculous and shows more arrogance and narrow-mindedness than judgement. Please prove me wrong and share with us your version so we can better understand your brilliance. Bear in mind also that classical musicians don't get that many followers on RU-vid so there is no monetary value to the artist to post their performances other than gaining exposure. Artists need to make a living just like you. I for one enjoyed this performance greatly and I'm sure most people watching felt the same way. Is it the greatest rendition? It's an irrelevant and somewhat crass question. You probably don't care but artists do read the comments on their posts.
@@subzerothought It is not very good, technically is loud, the phrasing is drowned in pedal, there is no march pulsation, there are no strong contrasts as the score requires. You are right, music comes as personal experience, but at top level, people who perform such things have a better ear and understanding, especially when there is Volodos version, to compare with. I would not say "atrocious" because that would be nonsense, Olga Scheps is a good pianist and nothing she does can be atrocious, is just that it is not exceptional, rather mediocre. Moreover, she is so hot that who cares.
