Great Review 250lm for 1min to find your way home ? OLIGHT should have went with 200lm & more run time the 15lm is great . LUMINTOP IY365 cree XP-G3 200 lumens 35min .
I recently picked up my first Olight, an i3T OES, and I'm thrilled at what a nice quality little light it is! It makes me wish that more people would start giving credit where it's due by acknowledging that more often than not products that say "Made in China" are excellent products sold at insanely reasonable prices. Thanks much for the great Review!!🙂👍
I am looking at buying a plus. I carry the smaller one everyday in my shirt pocket at work(lineman), but the bigger penlight size would fit better in the pocket I keep it in with my writing utensils. I have a Klein headlamp on my brain bucket, because on night time call outs I like being able to see what I'm working on.
I cover tests and specifics in 3 or 4 tests I've done on the channel 😁👍 For the purpose of not mucking about over specifics over explaining things in this particular video, the manual says 21 mins So that's the information that got relayed. I'm not explaining all the technical specs of the i3t in the i3t plus video. I've already made 5 videos featuring the i3t. Frankly I'm bored with companies begging me to review flashlights for them, it's very time consuming and honestly not worth my time anymore and it costs me a ton of money.
@@PreparedGuy you have very in depth videos, I know the lvl of work that takes. You should ask them to send you 2x as many lights so you can give some away and build your channel. It's the least they can do imo
Exactly, I feel like I'm working at the 100K subscriber level and only getting the 200 subscriber treatment. 🤣👍 I have less that 6,000 subscribers and I answer 90% of the question on the channel, I make special videos by request and run 5 other social media platforms at the same time and a website. The most messed up part is that this is a hobby and I still have a 40 hour a week day job and I volunteer for stuff. So basically any time of support I get for my work on the channel is appreciated, from the viewers to the subscribers to the companies. But unfortunately the companies see a lot of reviewers as a form of cheap if not free labor. At least I have my viewers to make up for it. I get to meet a ton of interesting people and it makes it all worth it. Thanks for watching watching videos and supporting the channel. I value and appreciate your participation 😁👍
The endcap on the i3T sucked. Mine broke within 6 months and now it only works as a twist light some of the time. I might get another if the switch quality is better on new ones. The clip that can be used on a baseball cap was priceless.
There is 5 year warranty on the lights. Put in a warranty request on their website, they will send you a new tail cap. They did that for me for my magnetic light. Ultimately that was not the issue, so I sent it in for repair.
yes, i am late to the party, but i am still asking^^: Does it remember the last output-level (like switch off from high, leave it for a few days/hours an it switches on on high) or does it revert to the low level (at switching on) after being off for a time?
Unfortunately, there is no memory. it must be pressed once for low and again for high. Once you turn the light off, it reverts back to default immediately upon turning off. I hope that helps answer your question. 😎👍
@@PreparedGuy yes, this hepls, thakn you! and for me that is a plus, bc i rather start every time on low than having to remember if i will flood the room with light or have a "sleeper-friendly" low-light starting point 😁
They mentioned that but that was originally for the i3t eos as far as my experience has been I've I've using them for years now and it hasn't effected the performance negatively so far. I wonder why though too. 🤔
It doesn't work. The plus goes into only low mode when using 10440s. The original i3t gets brighter, but it voids the warranty for a reason. I carry it with 10440s, but caveat emptor.
Try out the sofirn sp10v3 it makes a great pocket light. And has a turbo. I like he i3t and i5t though, but that's about all I'm willing to invest in olight.
@@nitrorc4life1 I always wanted one of those black m1t warriors, looks like a big i3t, but they are gone now, wish they would bring them back. You should check out Reddit, alot of guys on their customize olights and add better LED emitters, it's awesome. I don't like cold white so I could get behind a custom olight.
Awesome job prepared guy I have like probably I don't know five six o lights that I've never gotten from the old light store because they can't answer their phone for whatever reason phenomenal anyways I do like that flashlight though I guess I'm going to have to wait till it hits another store because oh light can't answer their phone anyways great job nice light
Use a 10440+Dummy Cell I use EBL+HyperPS on a light from Nicron that uses 2AAA it has a much brighter out out than using 2 AAA. Just don’t use 2 10440 your light will go RIP on you haha.
As fan of olight i have to Say "Meh" to long and not enough power (IDC bout $) Give me cooler colour and I might gonna get IT but standard i3 is quite perfect
But put a 10440 in a regular i3t eos like I do, and get over 2 hours of around 60 lumens on low, and prob over 400 lumens on high. I only run it on high for a couple minutes at a time to keep the heat down.
In any case you could use one 10440 and a dummy AAA to transmit the current through it but you could reach or surpass the limits of energy allowed. Never two 10440 batteries or you will fry the led and driver-circuit! Nevertheless I don't think you will obtain more output and definitely no more runtime. Use a pair of Sanyo Eneloops to be safe and save money on batteries. The bigger runtime is with a pair of Energizer lithium primaries 1.7 volts, not rechargeable but only in emergency situations because they are expensive for daily use.
Not much innovation anywhere lately. I mean personally all flashlights are the same. $150 for something that cost the companies $10 to make and its all crap at that point. 🤣👍
@@PreparedGuy Keychain lights seem to be getting a lot of innovation… maybe we’ll see that trickle up? It just doesn’t make sense that penlights like this have half the lumens of some keychain lights.
Your absolutely right. I mean the runtimes are slightly different but the fact that I can get a 300 lumen keychain light but can't get a 300 lumen pen light is a little bit of a back step. I appreciate the perspective for sure. In all honestly I love flashlights in general and after the 500th flashlight landed in my hand I kind of look at all flashlights as one in the same. I'm still waiting for the unicorn 🦄 light to come around. Crazy lumens. Crazy run times and a small form factor with with ability to recharge and use non proprietary batteries if the situation arises. It will comes some day.
