I use the outside part of the clip to go lens down. It works great. I like the grippier texture. I wish either model ( fully charged) would go to turbo from high when fully pressing tail switch (non strobe mode). Brightness just stays on high. Don't understand why they would engineer the ui this way. Especially considering these are supposed to be "tactical".
I like the added candela and cooler temp of the 3, I like what I’m hearing about the new tail switch. My only problem is the fact that they did not give you the option to mount the clip to carry bezel down, there is just no excuse not to offer that option. For that reason alone I will stick with the mini warrior 2. If the 3 is ever offered with the option to switch the clip I may then pick one up but until then no thanks. Great review, thanks!
It now ships with an attachment that allows for bezel down carry. Although im not sure why so many want to carry bezel down? Items in your pocket scratch up your lens when you carry bezel down.
Tail button is worse on wm3, because when you will use tact2 mode - you simple will always fall down from turbo to strobe due to short half-pressing space, also due to that it will be hard to use morse-code - you always will fall down on strobe.
Yes. First I thought its not so bad. But now I am thinking of selling my WM3 and get a WM2 beacuse of that. I didnt wanted the WM2 because of the terrible tint. But now I know how to mod it. So that is no problem. I also switched the SFT40 6500k in my WM3 to a 5700K.
WM2 is winner imo, Pocket clip with head down is much better. I will not get the WM3, its a batton3 with a tail switch. cheaper for them to build and charge you more. FK olight.
