Some Labs are notorious drinkers; I knew 3 that would come up after drinking, sloshed to the gills, dripping wet snouts, and give me sloppy wet kisses for no discernible reason other than I had just changed the water in their giant bowl. It was terrible, knowing they were addicted to drink and kisses.
"Well no, I don't think any of us realized how much she was drinking." It can happen to the best of us. We have faith in you, Mabel. I know the creative juices will flow again, Olive. 💕
They say to never meet your idols and there's a reason. I'll be re watching all the old videos now with a different perspective. I hope they all get the help they need and can go back to finding the joy in the little things. They sure gave me a lot of joy over the past few months. xx
A fascinating insight! At first I was worried that this would make me feel differently towards them, but if anything, knowing their struggles makes me love them even more!!! 🤣
Since i lost my dogs early this year after 12 and 14 years these videos have kept my broken heart beating and reminds me i can love another dog again. Please keep making more videos!!

What makes this "mini-series" of half a dozen or so sportscasts and glimpses "behind the scenes" so hilarious is Cotter's deadpan delivery sequed into utter canine randomness. Stepping away from Real Life during the virus has allowed us this amazing opportunity to examine literally everything from the outside, looking in. Can't wait to see where this goes as a series! There's A LOT of real life that needs re-examining about right now.

Aww we have an elderly English Springer Spaniel called Walter (13) and two previously quite naughty but now also very elderly Jack Russell Terriers aged 14, Badger and Toby! (litter brothers) but there is no love lost between them, we have to keep them apart even now😳

Reviewed each and every episode thoroughly, to look for the “cracks.” My belief is that their egos were bruised - I mean, anyone can be a “very good dog,” but to never be praised for having “the stealth of a sofa”?? They’ll need that series and book deal to feel right as rain again.
I didn’t know Mabel had a drink in problem, but maybe missed a sign the day she stood motionless in the water, in over her tail. A quiet call for help, perhaps. She’s makes the right moves when she needs to, it’s obvious she still had a fight in her. Glad to see she’s taking time to get it together.
You have made a wonderful contribution during COVID using the love for and by your dogs. The incredible beauty of Scotland is awesome! One of the best things (besides having a video library of yourself with your dogs)is that it is pure. Completely.

This throws new light on the game of bones incident. Are you saying that Mabel's last moment victory was scripted? Incredibly generous of Olive to let Mabel take victory in such a public arena. Sadly, Mabel's struggles with drink were all too predictable. Too much too soon...
