Olive and Mabel - simple dog joy 

Does anything make you feel happier in life than two dogs who are thrilled you’re finally home? My two Labs used to turn themselves inside out when I came in. They’ve been gone 15 years and I still miss them so. Thanks to you for sharing Olive and Mabel with us. ❤❤

not all of them will do that very verbally demonstrative thing while so pleased with their sticks, toy, you (greeting when their person or favorite people come home or visit).

@@janemillerick9614 , I noticed that. My first two Labs didn’t do that. My 1st would get excited about her toys, but she wasn’t verbal, and since we were never apart, there wasn’t that excitement about my return. She was the best dog I can remember having.

Amen to that! At present my apartment property management changed the rules Last Summer just when I was applying to be a foster parent, it was heartbreaking! unfortunately I really couldn't afford to move so I'm living dogless for the past FIVE years, it's horrid! Although I have cats, and love them and there's definitely a reciprocal relationship with them. But I I've had dogs in my life for 15+ years And I'm hoping to one day move where It's not a problem to have one again. in the meanwhile these videos really keep me going, sometimes with happy tears! Thank you, ever so, Mr Kotter, for sharing with us your lovely Mabel and Olive! Simple dog joy, indeed!!!

Thank you for that name, so I could google and find out what the reference was! Most Americans of a certain age grew up hearing about the Guinness Book of Records, but I had no idea who created it and the story---part tragedy---behind it. I love Mr. Cotter and his lovely dogs.

@@northernmuse9 Ha. Well I only knew him from watching Record Breakers when I was a kid - as you can imagine, it was a very important part of my life back then . I had no memory of the rest of the story until you mentioned the tragedy and I looked him up! I went to see Mr Cotter and the girls in London a couple of years ago. Aren't they just adorable? For me, they fill in a big dog-shaped hole with their snuffles and wags and snorts. How wonderful life would be if we could all feel so happy with picking up seven sticks! ☺
