As a former Olive Garden employee i can 100% assure you we do not reuse our breadsticks. Some olive gardens depending on how busy they get have a designated person only for making breadsticks. But ANYTHING that touches a table can’t be sent back it immediately has to be thrown away whether it’s a gigantic salad or a basket full of breadsticks. They go through so much waste it’s ridiculous. As a previous worker at Olive Garden I can confidently say that we didn’t reuse our breadsticks. Behind the scenes most of us were always buttering and putting breadsticks in the oven all throughout our shifts to make sure they were always fresh. It was part of our job to always make sure bread was in the oven in preparation for tables. And If they aren’t eaten at a table they go straight to the trash. So sorry to break your theory.

I use to work at Olive Garden literally two months ago, that bread is constantly coming out and being asked for I can assure you that lol😂 we always had to call out “bread to sale!” when we would be short or out of breadsticks

Hiya Shane! I worked at Olive Garden for three years. We get dozens of boxes of precooked, frozen breadsticks. They come in plastic bags. We thaw and cook them im big ovens. They can only sit after cooking for 10-15 minutes, after that they’re throw in the garbage and we make fresh bread. If the table doesn’t eat the bread we just throw them away. The only reason someone would ‘reuse’ bread would be a bad server stealing ‘old-used bread’ from an old table and reusing it for their own table. Basically as an OG server, you have to have a basket of fresh bread down shortly after your guests are greeted. A lot of times we have someone making bread, but sometimes people get busy and we might not have a bread person, so waiting for fresh bread can become an issue. So I could see how a server that doesn’t care about their table could just grab old bread and pass it along. But yeah, all bread is thrown out! Managers actually check the bread for freshness fairly often.

As a EX Olive Garden member, we have a person that’s only job is to make bread, we put like 6 trays in the oven at a time ( 12 breadsticks to a tray) and we just keep them coming. We used to throw away tons of breadsticks

I work at Olive Garden and there is nothing shady going on. The Franchise is INSANE about rules and health codes, etc. Any untouched food still goes in the trash. We don’t ever keep anything that goes out to the floor, EVER. Also the bread really is endless. It is constantly coming out of the oven lol

as a former Olive Garden employee, I've thrown out way too many bread sticks... we're constantly baking 2 pans of breadsticks at a time. so, no, OG doesn't recycle breadsticks, at least not at the one i worked at. i still love and eat it whenever i can! 💜

as an olive garden server myself, we are REQUIRED to throw away any food that is left on the table. same with dishes, if it touches the table, we are once again, REQUIRED to put it in dish. even if you hand the guest a plate and they decide they don't need it, we have to put it in dish. darden is incredibly particular about their procedures lol. we also have a designated bread maker to make fresh bread for every single guest that comes in:)

As an Olive Garden Busser, we are told in an earpiece/walkie-talkie which table gets up and to go clean it, hence why we swoop up the tables so fast. We also are to put trash and plates in the middle of our cart to save ourselves time for other tables that have got up. Glasses go on top and the cloths are put on the bottom. We then take the cart back and empty it. We put glasses into a crate and we toss all the food away and put the plates where the dishwasher is so he can clean it all. The Linnons (I know I spelled it wrong) go into a bag where they can then be taken to be washed. I can assure you that we don’t have enough time or space to set the breadsticks on the side to be reused. It’s a lot easier for us to toss them away and just grab new ones as there is someone who has their main job to just make breadsticks.

I work at OG we do NOT reuse breadsticks from tables. Once an item touches a table it cannot even be sent to another table or reused for anything else. It has to be thrown away and remade if anything.

As an EX PRISONER I literally still have my sweat suits I brought home with me for lay around house clothes & my friend bought the khy sweatsuit & we compared them & I can confirm they are the exact same ones. Period
