Thanks for saving/sharing this! I briefly worked at Olive Jar in the mid-80s when bits like the MTV Frankenstein and Nickelodeon Grilled Cheese bumpers were shot. Haven't seen these in ages

I did not know that and the one mtv bumper that i hated when i was a kid was the paper mache aka the voodoo mask '87 cause that scared me as a kid

Brett Dewey hi there I would like to express my appreciation for your involvement in enlightening our generation on a global scale! 😉 Mtv was a great experience for my generation whether its influence was beneficial or not (according to my parents who struggled with my addiction to mtv, in general, it was all but positive) we were a generation in search of an alternative to making our point of view and stressing our concerns about global health.

Glad you did, this also showed up in an old animation festival compilation video called "Animation Celebration Vol. 2". I think it added an extra bit at one point of a film called "Evolution" featuring the familiar image of the ape turning into a man while walking but showing further evolved forms of man that are just ridiculous to see!

It's been a long time since I used "Typestry and Glimpse" and most people have no idea behind them. These apps run under the render engine called "Renderman". that's been in constant use with upgrades since the late 80's.

I love the bumper they did for Nickelodeon at 9:33. Can you imagine if that was used for the Nickelodeon Movies logo instead of that bland boring logo from 2009? What would that be like?
