Kind of unusual to see a Disney vinyl record without "Disneyland" on the label! But seeing as this was Disney's last vinyl release for a long time, it makes sense

It was the first Disney album release under the "Walt Disney Records" and the only vinyl release in general release (in 1988) to use the WDR name on the label, as the soundtrack re-release of "Bambi" and "Disney's Silly Songs" used the Disneyland Records labels and logos. Also they retired the "Disneyland Records" name at some point in either 1989 or 1990 as there are some read-along tapes that were still being marketed under Disneyland Records (with the sole exception of the first pressings of "The Little Mermaid" read-along because it was a new film at the time), not to mention one the CD storyteller re-recording of "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" had the Disneyland Records name.

Yep, but isn't the Frozen vinyl release from early last year under the Walt Disney Records name too? (though it has a custom label)

***** Yeah it was and so were the picture discs that Disney released at Hot Topic among other places; but I thought of those as specialty releases to the point they could not be found anywhere else that *_isn't_* on Amazon. "Oliver & Company" (I believe) was the last general release from Walt Disney Records to be released on vinyl.

***** The Intrada soundtrack CD of "Disney Pixar Up" was "released" by Disneyland Records as in it had the Disneyland Records logo along with both Intrada and Walt Disney Records own logos pixartimes.com/2011/08/31/rejoice-up-soundtrack-released-on-limited-edition-cd/

Records were still going in the 80s? I'm a 90s kid and I remember it being all about cassette tapes and CDs.

MsPrettypinkpanther8 Vinyl never went anywhere largely because of hip hop and electronic music. They were still releasing albums on vinyl even in the 90s.

Have you still got the higher res audio? Because the &fmt=18 trick doesn;t work anymore.

Shameful, that it seems hit records like this are out of syndication to purchase, at least to my knowledge!😢🤗
