which is funny because immediately after he goes to take a sip of water and its frozen... his own shit that he couldn't figure out, how to escape the Astral plane and being cryogenically frozen.
Man I don't think I could even guess what that was but David did become the shadow kings weakness through empathy? Ferouk was "forced" to live with David since he was a child thus making him kind of love David in a way, while his actions may have ended up contributing to David becoming the legion/world killer hence his turn to the good side in s3. 🤷🏻
I would love to see a spin off series for Oliver & Melanie; wanted to see so much more of Oliver in Legion. Mr Clement just portrayed this character so well.
This show is incredible. Perfectly metaphorizes ego death and psychic development. It's practically an instruction manual on how to awaken the godhead. Magnificent.
2:27, the “bunny” of this episode may not only apply to David getting stuck in the astral plane and ending up even deeper under Farouk’s influence, but the rest of the gang of Summerland. In an attempt to try to get more information on David’s past, Syd and the others are nearly caught by Walter and Division 3 and the Loudermilks end up injured. Moreover, the overarching danger of trying to investigate and study David is met by Farouk, who again takes on the role of the dangerous ocean, as he attacks and eventually ends up trapping everyone in the astral plane with him. Then in Le Désolé, Syd gets lured into the maze by a Farouk-possessed Melanie with a rabbit, getting her to fall down the giant sink drain a la Alice falling down the rabbit hole. Farouk really is a master puppeteer in this show.
The writing is so good. Either they planned it out incredibly well or just had so much presence of mind to thematically tie so much together, while still being a strange acid trip on the whole
I won't be able to watch the 3rd season until it's released on DVD, and I've been avoiding any info on season 3. I do believe, however, that Oliver will save the world.
Good evening. We are here tonight to talk about violence - or maybe - human nature. We are here to talk about human nature. Wait... a quote. A great philosopher once wrote, "In times of peace the warlike man attacks himself." This is the root of all our problems. And by "this" I mean "we". We are the root of all our problems. Our confusion, our anger, our fear of things we don't understand. Violence, in other words, is ignorance. FIGURE YOUR SHIT OUT, that's my- ...what I'd say. There are two kinds of stories we tell our children. The first kind: Once upon a time there was a fuzzy little rabbit named Frizzytop who went on a quantum-fun adventure, only to face a big setback which he overcame through perseverance and by being adorable. This kind of story teaches empathy. Put yourself in Frizzytops's shoes, in other words. The other kind. "OLIVER ANTHONY BIRD, IF YOU GET TOO CLOSE TO THAT OCEAN YOU'LL GET SUCKED INTO THE SEA AND DROWNED!" This kind of story teaches them fear. And for the rest of their lives, these two stories compete. Empathy and Fear. And so I bring you tonight's play. A work in five acts about a fuzzy little bunny who got too close to the ocean, and what happened next. Let us begin.
Strangely enough, we’re introduced to him forgetting his past, stuck inside the astral plane and where we last leave him, he once again is in the astral plane forgetting his past all over again, this time with Melanie.
