Crap call. Clearly see Lingren trap and then push Lomberg as he was trying to clear out of the crease. If Lindgren doesn't cross-check him, there is no contact.

Of course, he is not going ruffle any feathers with the NHL or refs after his team won. Fact remains: If you go by the NHL rules, he did not impede the goalie and was pushed into the goalie. That should have counted.

Huh? a guy can be behind the goalie in all sorts of situations... where he stops in the crease should matter zero.. he had no contact or interference with the goalie and would have exited the crease peacefully if he wasn't pushed in.. the NHL has gone bonkers.

Sure he goes into the crease.. but had he not been pushed back into the goalie he would have long left the crease by the time the shot came through.. he was clearly trying to get out.. Gosh the NHL is a joke.

Terrible call. You can be in the crease all you want so long as you are not impeding the goalie from making a save. He was pushed into the goalie. That was a goal. NHL typical.

Good call, he was in the crease, despite the fact that he was pushed he was already in the crease so good call at the end with the overturn (for the record I am cheering for Florida in this series)...

I'll agree that this is how they are calling these, but why? The rulebook doesn't say that entering the crease negates a defender pushing the player in. I don't even know how the wording could be interpreted that way.

@@pyRoy6 I mean it should. Especially with how deep in the crease he was, that's just plain interference. I'm sure most people would disagree with me but when a call is made that technically is incorrect but is within the spirit of the rule, im cool with it. Had he not pushed him, it 100% would have still been interference.

@@pyRoy6 No, I'm saying he was so deep in there that I think he was going to make contact anyway. To me, it looks like even if he hadn't been pushed, he would have made contact.

@@xSnarfsx It looks like he was trying to get out and avoid contact. Maybe he would have been successful, maybe not. But if his actual (not potential) contact is a result of the push, I don't think it should be interference. And the wording of the rule seems to say that.
