WOW nice video!!! Our fencing trainer always says stories of how hearth stab have not caused instant dead and the fencer fought for another few minutes. His explanation is always "adrenalin!". I cant wait to correct him :D (well I assume adrenalin plays big role anyway, he probably isnt wrong... :D )
Very interesting! What about sword injuries to the limbs and fingers? What are medium and long term concerns with wounds to those body parts? What are the chances of recovery from limb and finger wounds with medieval and renaissance treatments?
I've read a cut across the inside of the arm at the elbow (brachial artery) will cause unconsciousness due to bloodloss in 14sec. Also, that a thrust to the cease of the top of the leg (cutting the illiac artery) is quickly fatal. As are thrusts to the kidneys and armpits. Is any of this true?
Interessant. Leider selbst mit guten Englisch Kenntnissen schwer alles zu verstehen. Medizinisches Englisch ist halt kein Standard Schulwissen. Aber danke. Sehr interessant.
