"Oliver Kahn is one of the best goalkeeper of all time; he was very charismatic and strong as well as a great sportsman” (Oliver Bierhoff about Oliver Kahn) Music: - P.O.D. - Alive (instrumental) - Jim Yosef - Momentum
for those who don't know, in a game where Bayern needed a late goal, Kahn went in the opponents box and punched a ball into the net of the opponent with both hands once. He was that crazy, but he was the TITAN and will forever be remembered.
The Oliver Khan moment I will never forget is when they defeated Valencia the second time on the UCL, and before celebrating he consoled another great goalkeeper: El Dragon Cañizares. He was intense but very humane too.
@@RedWings123 Köpke besser als Kahn? Dein Ernst?
Never forget Keanos equaliser against the germans in 2002. Kahn nearly kept it out••••😮 what a keeper. And also what a moment to be an Ireland fan that was!🎉
1:11 This is such a great save, headers or shots from such a short distance are almost impossible to get for a goalie but he did it. He also was a beast when coming out of the goal to confront a player running alone towards him. You just knew he wouldn't back off so it was you or him. Commanded great respect that way. And the defense knowing they had him back there when they made a mistake is also not to underestimate.
He was a nightmare for his own team defenders. The way he used to scream and yell at his teammate making them nervous instead of giving them confidence and assurance .That explain Most high-profile occasions in his career resulted in him ending up on the losing side.
@@paulis4278 in particolare that s true his temperament was too aggressive sometimes...but he made a lot of unbelievable saves and was so good for bayern for many years
@@paulis4278 i dont know what your smoking. Kahn wouldn’t scream at his team randomly. Kahn was a born leader and his goalkeeping and leadership made his team overarchive. He was just unlucky to be the only world class german player with ballack in a time where Germany and Bayern where weak(2002-2007). Germany had back then no talent. And bayern was back then financially weak compared to other top teams and many legends retired or got old (matthäus, effenberg, elber, scholl). So there was no german talenr to replace those players and also there was no money to buy them. While real was regularly spending 60-120 a year million for players, bayern could only afford 20-25 million as they where paying for a new stadium for the 2006 world cup.
@@paulis4278 it's funny how a comment shows your character. Let me guess you also dislike Klopp or any other lively trainer for acting loud/ showing emotions on the pitch line? What a snowflake personality you are like pretty much anyone these days. Maybe you need to get some training from Kahn to grow some balls
Used to root for Real Madrid when I was a kid and whenever they were to play against Bayern I just knew that it would be extremely difficult to score goals. This guy was an absolute savage. Of all the keepers, Kahn is number one.
think at least "according hiss"list so-called official goelkeepers " "sofar this vids ^-there wattched 1-2 lew ivanowich jachien, peter schmeichel, 3-5 oliver kahn, guianluigi buffon, manuel neuer with 6 iker cassilas with more than clear distance to 7, ...,
I'm a Juventus fan but I've never seen another goalkeeper better than Kahn in the season 2000/01. He deserved the Balon d'or but unfortunately Germany lost against England 5-1 and he didn't win
I would like to see a video of the saves of the German goalkeeper Robert Enke to remember an excellent goalkeeper of the German national team and Hanover
If I ever were to pick my top 11 of all times, this guy had to make the goalie spot. The fact that he was so fucking angry every time he played just made him so much more fun to watch haha
He is not even the best ever in german let alone in the world.Harald Schumacher and Neuer and Maier were way better of him and they accomplish more than him.Screaming and yelling making your own teammate nervous doesn't make him the greatest. He was a nightmare for his own teams defenders. Great goalkeepers give confidence and assurance to their team and don't crumble under pressure . Most high-profile occasions in his career resulted in him ending up on the losing side .
@@paulis4278lol Schumacher huh?.. dude why do you keep spamming this comment section with bullshit lies about Kahn? Like wtf he stopped playing 15 years ago. Did he eat your banana or something?.. Btw not a single defender ever came out saying he was distracted or nervous because of Kahn.. What a sad life you must have
The guy was very decent, but the thing that made him world class was his attitude. Never giving up and scare the fuck out of the opponents. They in the most literal interpretation of the word feared for their own life‘s.
Oliver Kahn hat das Torhüter Spiel genauso revolutioniert wie Manuel Neuer. Manu hat dann noch eine Schippe drauf gelegt meiner Meinung nach. Beide aber verdient Legenden.
0:18was an illegal handball by Frings that wasn’t called to eliminate the US. I’ll never forget watching that over pancakes in a bar at like 6 in the morning
Chilavert?! Are you high? Best ever- Nr. 1 : Oli Kahn. 6-7 goalkeepers fight for 2. place (Buffon, Casillas, Neuer, Schmeichel, Yashin, Barthez and Maier)
Kahn, Yashin, Buffon, Schmeichel, Zoff. In any order you like, they are all a perfect choice. Kahn and Schmeichel for the pure intimidation factor though. Only Buffon has matched Kahn as a keeper who could play deep on his line and have uncanny reflexes time and time again.
