In the first episode he was making out with a girl and she said something along the lines of " What's up with the tattoo" and he said actually is a birthmark.
DAMN I LOVE 9-1-1 and BUCK is one of my favourite characters from the show but BIG RESPECT to the AMAZING actor Oliver Stark. I almost got a light heart attack when I heard his accent in this interview. I forgot he is from London cause he is incredible as BUCK.
I think it’s understandable that he didn’t realise that US fire departments ran medical calls because he’s from right here in the UK and we don’t run on medical calls unless we are called in for something like a lift assist or an extrication
I'm a firefighter and some of are departments require you have a emt or paramedic license or a basic certification cause we get a national disaster call we'd do a better job of helping people who were severally hurt especially when there's more than one person and yes I have my Paramedic license - Cape Girardeau Fire Department, station 2 engine 3
@@ryleenunnery9385 yea a lot of us have training in casualty care I think it’s similar to your EMT-B but it’s pretty rare that we roll on a medical call the training is there more so we understand how are actions are going to interact with injuries,we can support the paramedics and provide that basic care in an area that a paramedic may not be able to access
He’s such a lovely person on the inside & on the outside. I loved him on Into the Badlands and am thrilled to see him every week w/the powerhouses and icons that he gets to call his coworkers on 9-1-1. ❤️
Jaysus!!!!! I had NO IDEA he was British until my cousin told me while we were talking about the show. I'm a late comer to 911, Just started watching it.... love Buck's character. Love all the characters!! Great show!
I first saw him in 911, first of all COMPLETELY believed he was American, but also thought the birthmark was interesting, yet didn’t know it was real. I’ve just started Into the Badlands where he again plays someone without an English accent, and has the same mark. ItB is an older show so I realized then that the mark was real but didn’t hear his accent until I started looking into the cast of ItB. Trippy!
Probably partially due to doing an American accent so much for the show; I imagine that can slightly alter your voice, after awhile (I'm just running off of assumptions, though).
@@celessia121 that's the same thing I was thinking, his accent is. . .in that awkward "I've been doing an American accent too long cause now my British accent sounds so weird."
A lot of its to do with who you're talking to, when he's talking to Americans he gets a sort of American twang to it but if its a solo interview or in the UK he sounds very london British. Its a common thing when you're surrounded by people with a different accent, you sort of slightly mimic or tone down your accent depending on who you're talking to
It’s cool he’s rocking the birthmark! I like that he is drawing attention to it. I think we need more representation for people who have facial differences/birthmarks in the media, and especially those who aren’t typically deemed ‘attractive’ by societies standards, nor white, rich and male as we have seen with books like Wonder.
i am a huge fan of 9-1-1 and never new he was british. i mean i didnt even know Tom Holland was british till after Spiderman Homecoming went into stores
Not really you can hear it on certain words. Wtf is it with America and forcing an actor to speak American English? Don't need to in this show. Accent the better and hotter.
I had no Idea of 2 THINGS! his dam HOT ACCENT and his Birthmark!? I genuinely thought this was from him getting beat up in the show hahahaha I love him!
I have a birthmark like his, mine is even bigger but in the exactly same place and like he said it was never an insecurity... it is weird sometimes but I honestly love my birthmark
All of you saying you couldn’t believe he’s British haven’t watched British tv enough and it shows.. his American accent is good, but haven’t you noticed how he pronounces words that start with “h” or how he projects forcefully like each word is planned out? 😅 no? Just me? K
