With the Bridgeport Sound Tigers’ Game 5 loss last night, Oliver Wahlstrom’s 2018-19 season has officially come to an end. In 10 games with the Sound Tigers, including five in the Calder Cup Playoffs, the 18-year-old scored four goals and seven points. Prior to joining the Sound Tigers, the 11th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft had eight goals and 19 points in 36 games as a freshman with Boston College. While playing for Team USA at the World Juniors, he had two goals and four points in seven games. Here are Wahlstrom’s highlights from his brief stint with the Sound Tigers and some additional clips from him at the Islanders’ rookie camp last June. On March 28th, 2019, Wahlstrom left Boston College to sign a three-year, entry-level contract with the Islanders that kicks in next season (2019-20).
