Chloe is as ordinary looking as they come. She has a long face, big teeth and is dark skinned. I don't think she looks like her dad at all. Matt was very handsome. She just doesn't have it.

Olivia always struck me as standoffish and very businesslike. This is where she lost points in my eyes. She never came across as a warm soul. She came from Melbourne's richest suburb. They never mix with anyone. They only hobnob with ppl of their own sort.

I agree. I don't know how much more she could of done. One of the nicest , down to earth celebrities ever. She was in my opinion the most beautiful woman ever in film or singing. the eyes, smile complexion, and the planes of her face where perfect. It is almost impossible to find a bad photo of her. In a time when these half ass celebrities inform people on their movie set not to look them in the eye., it just shows how sterling a person Olivia was. all she was missing were wings, and she has them now.

Me too. Never understood why she preferred Matt instead of John. Until meeting John Easterling, she made many wrong choices about her partners. John always loved her. They could have been a legendary couple. Anyway, John found love with Kelly Preston, a beautiful woman who really loved him. That's the most important thing.

I watched an early 80's interview with ONJ and John Travolta yesterday and they were questioned on this. They were grilled by Joan Rivers on if they liked each other in that way/had a crush. Long and short of it was they were both with other people during those early days and committed to those relationships so nothing was every pursued.
People are so hard on Matt, and yet he must’ve had something pretty special going for him to have attracted Olivia Newton John. But he was a young guy and she was already mega successful. The balance of power was too far off to sustain a marriage. But she always said he took devoted care of her during her first bout with cancer. They parted friends.
Yeah he had that one big special talent ONJ was drawn to. Very good looking guy with a great body when they married, but holy wow he had little between his ears.

Why do people have the tendency to put people down after they're dead I mean you know who cares she was a legend when I was 15 years old I grew up listening to her she saved my life so many times her music did coming from a divorced family you know I would hide in my room and just listen to her albums they took me to a place we don't have to think about my home life she was amazing!
The age difference to get between them in the end because Matt was partying in the basement and livy Olivia was going down telling him off to make him too much noise and racket and drinking with his friends in the basement of there at her la home or downstairs anyway so yeah well age difference does sometimes matter
He slept with babysitter I heard in a video after Olivia passed away. I think he was a nobody who hitched himself to Olivia to become somebody. Didn't work and he slept around with their daughters nanny. I never thought he was very bright either.

I have admired Olivia since before Grease and I still do!!!I think she is such a talent!!! I always thought and with all the respect, that she was in love with John Travolta and he seemed very much into her as well. They even spend time together in Australia when he was promoting Urban Cowboy and she was promoting Xanadu and they spent time together. All is documented in different interviews. Somehow it didn't work out with John and she got Matt who kinda looks like John, Matt had the time to stay with her like she probably needed
I read an article that Matt said Olivia liked her space. He never felt really close to her, and felt unloved. Olivia is so mega. He was nothing but a back up dancer. He was the least wealthy and successful man in her life. I feel bad for him. Still I love Olivia. A woman is a woman, and men need love as much as women do.
I think the age difference did play a part. He looks nice enough but is just not at the same level as ONJ in achievement, maturity, talent. It was more of a fling.

Matt looked so hot in Landslide, Soul Kiss, and Toughen Up video. I felt the moment Olivia got married to Matt her career sales slipped because it was every guy's fantasy to be with Olivia. Once she gotten married and pregnant, those fantasies died in our minds and hearts. Olivia was off the market. Olivia's music perspective changed after having Chloe. The Rumour then Warm and Tender. Cancer came and her music perspective changed again with The Grace And Gratitu-ish sounds that carried on for over 2 decades. RIP Olivia

It's usually the way. I've also seen downright ugly ppl who had gorgeous children. I've also seen professional, very clever parents have retards for children. You can never tell. Chloe has a long horsy face, big teeth and darker complexion. Not attractive at all. She seems devoid of any talent as well. O would not go as far as calling Olivia gorgeous. Many look like her. Nothing out of the ordinary. Matt was gorgeous in his youth. He hasn't aged well though.
