There's over 150 native groups besides the quecha Mayan Aztecs zaptocs mixtecs chiba. Many of these groups are Endangered due to culture destruction switching to Spanish deforestation and language local tribal wars and other forms of culture abandonment and destruction. The olmecs have left behind a legacy but it's unknown who are there decendants or if there ghost population meaning they mixed with other people or got absorbed by there neighbors
@@quieteron1516 Olmec masks, heads, mini-statues and other artifacts have been found as far south as Nicaragua. So no, Mexicans are not the only rightful claimants of Olmec heritage the Guatemalans, Hondurans and Nicaraguans also have Olmec heritage.
So glad to see that you have broadened your teaching scope to include social studies. I have retired from teaching World History but I still teach! Thank you! Love your work!
Please tell inah about this if you suspect they don't know about the site already, I know they have their flaws but they're still the best organization to recover and preserve our culturañ heritage in mexico.
Y-DNA tests (passed down from father-to-son) also proved the Olmecs were pure Native American not African. Don’t let the Africans steal your heritage, Olmecs masks, heads, mini-statues etc have been found as far south as Nicaragua. Olmecs, the ancestors of Mexicans, Guatemalans, Hondurans and Nicaraguans, God bless y’all 🙏🏻
I so want to look through those offerings and see what's to be seen. It's strange, I'm highly organized, but there's something about a messy bunch of knick-knacks that I can't resist. I can resist this mask, though. 😬 Not the most pleasant thing to look at.. I loved the pebble background behind the Teotihuacan mask.. Another thing I wouldn't mind digging through or partially burying myself in. I need to get back to the beach is what this video has ultimately taught me, lol.
