The Eurovision Song Contest is celebrating it's 60th birthday this year. The BBC hosted a celebration show to honour the 60th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest. Olsen Brothers performed Fly On The Wings Of Love
bestdamnalex same here, its a universal love song that unites the world and ppl from ll races too ! im in tears every time they play this song .oo its magic!
I have a feeling that older songs are more pure and sincere and kinda have more soul in them. Olsen bros and their song always touch my heart. This song never gets dated.
This was first time Latvia participated in Eurovision, 2000. This song still sometimes is played on radio in Latvia and everyone gets nostalgic. 20 years have passed, god damn... I was 12, I remember it as if it were yesterday.
This does not get old.....it just gets better. One of my top 10 favorit esc song. I was 20 at that time. I am 41 now and i get goosbumps everytime i hear that song.
Well. That certainly wasn't the case last time you won with that boring "Only teardrops" song. Till this very day I don't understand how did such a mediocre song win.
awwwww i love this song ! it is kinda magic.gives me teary eyes every time i hear it . was that when i first heard it ,got shivers all over !! its like a universal love song that unite pl from all places nd races ! best ESC song ever.. and iv heard most ov them since im older too !
***** yeahh ! lov the Danish way...one my daughter. in. law is from denmark ... and i use to watch some danish food n culture programmes on tv too... its soo nice :P
I remember this from my first trip to Europe. Was on a ferry from Stockholm to the Baltics and everyone was watching the final on all the TVs. The whole thing seemed very weird but I always remembered the song, it's kind of an earworm.
Great song. I love this song and this guys. Great! From Russia with love. Our 12 points always go to Olsen Br. from Denmark, with Fly on the Wing of Love.
One of the most famous and well-known Eurovision songs of the 21st century in the UK and Ireland, mostly thanks to the XTM dance remake that was a massive hit here in 2003! Great songs in all its versions :D
I actually can't stop crying right now! It just crossed my mind that Niels (or Noller, the guy on the left) has been diagnosed with terminal braincancer and has 2-5 years left. It makes me so sad because as a Dane and a big fan of Eurovision these guys and this song have been a big part of my childhood 😭
I'm glad to read that this song brings tears to other people's eyes. It is just such a happy song and makes the heart feel good. If you get a chance, you should search for the Danish version, "Smuk Som Et Stjerneskud = Beautiful as a Shooting Star." Denmark requires the winner's of their country's contest to then write lyrics in English to perform at Eurovision. Both sets of lyrics are beautiful even though they have different meanings.
In the world: "Fly on the wings of love" In Japan: "Fry on the wings of Rove" Rove: A very evil conqueror/Dictator Angel that enjoys frying people upon his firey wings
The Olsen Brothers represented Denmark at the 45th Eurovision Song Contest which took place in 2000 in Sweden. They won the contest before the Russian competitor.
@@Cerebellis Anne I wish you would read my comment carefully. I said "like most of ABBA's songs, a brilliant pop song", meaning it's a "near-perfect pop song like ABBAs songs, I didn't and never inferred that it was an ABBA song. I will accept your apology gracefully! lol cheers
