Great review with helpful details. Let’s just say they used white paint on the dial, and it even glows for a minute!

While the wandering hour style may have been around for a while, I've never seen it before! And had you not helped explain how to tell the time, I'm sure I would never, ever have figured it out on my own. I'm amazed at what an apparently simple action makes each of the hour wheels change as they pass over a certain location.

I’m not usually into non traditional watches, but I genuinely think I like this one. And I know others think it’s not worth the money, but I for one thought they would be selling it for much more. Thanks for the review.

It’s all about taste. Every time I’ve shown a watch on either channel that is not a conventional 3 hander it divides opinion. People don’t like change which is funny on this because a rotating disc passing a minute track can be almost dated to the 1700s on clocks and I saw once a pocket watch with an odd display. I personally like the unusual I also like the different ideas, like this turning the movement speed down to make it work, or how a tuning fork idea tuned a known vibration into movement of wheels . It’s ideas like these that bring progress . This one gets its rotating disc idea clearly from the AP star wheel and I dread to think how many 10s of 1000s that is.

@@mywatchreviews I think I saw one on Hodinkee for $34,000 which ironically seems reasonable for an AP.

I’m a traditional watch lover, so this one look like a kind of toy, but earring your excellent comment about the watch help me to looking with other eyes, so at the end it’s really different et look not bad at all, the idea about time reading is not bad ! The case size is perfect for me, around 40mm is a nice size and comfortable to wear. I prefer the blue dial, but the question is, can I bought this watch for my collection ! Mmmm🧐 not sure ! It’s a very interesting review Mike, and you are an excellent speaker, love the time grapher test and scope view and of course camera shot and angle are great !! Thank for sharing it’s always interesting to view and listen ! Best regard Mike ✨

Thank you Alain. Its nice to see something different but watches like these are not for the masses as people are generally more conventional and want a 3 handed watch.

I own it, and people like it. It seems to keep good time. The only problem is that it reflects lights a bit, otherwise, I am happy with the purchase. I use a watch winder as well. Steve

The more i look at this watch the more i like it. While i most likely won't buy it due to cost, it would look really good in my watch box next to my Bulova jump hour from the 70's. Or in your watch box next to a Lip. 😂😂 Nice review, Mike! Cheers!

I'm torn with this one. There's so much to like - the style gives me very vintage vibes and I love the cutouts, the size, the price point (maybe). There's still some cons that give me pause, primarily being I'm just not a fan of wandering hours, or casino associations, I guess. Great review as always!
@mywatchreviews
@mywatchreviews Год назад
That’s fair enough . Watches like this I have or have reviewed always divide opinion . The majority like 3 handers and anything else is heresy. This idea is nothing new and I like the simplicity of it. Plus the general easy time telling rather than being so precise. Also think it’s quirkiness is actually quite beautiful. As for gambling , I’m no gambling man and I don’t think by wearing this I’m off to the casino 😂
@SideWalkAstronomyNetherlands
Ah ,,watching the watches, which reminds me :) I forgot to wind/wear my watch, today :) Don't like to wear watches, I know it is water proof, but still, when it rains, I don't :) Well I did put the potatoes on the fire in time, so it was still running when I peeled the potatoes :) Fixed :)

So far this is the most conventional Watch especially in sizing. Shame it’s too big for you . I’ve found the sizing to be nice on this one
@Saltcoatsbhoy

The side cut outs are definitely taken from Moser, along with the concave style bezel. Nice watch, and a good size. I have something similar, though only paid ~£100 and it has an 8215 base and is slightly larger. Pindu I think was the brand, but there's no actual branding on the watch and case.
@mywatchreviews

Interesting, I researched prices of wondering hour complications and the lowest was Xeric at about £600+ This one is getting most of its ideas from the AP Star wheel if you take a look at that has spinning discs and a scale at the top of the Watch. What I do like about the AP one is it has a second hand .

I really like the green version, although there's something about the triple arm that just doesn't look good enough (too much like printed plastic), either make it more matt, or more shiny (or even stainless steel), but more than i'd be able to (or want to) pay
@mywatchreviews
@mywatchreviews Год назад
This is the difficulty when you guys are viewers, seeing it and holding it gives you a much better view. Just remember the spinning arms have to be light enough to not drag the movement to a standstill.

Good review. The case looks familiar and is the same size as a Lobinni Patek Calatrava (I think) homage, so they have saved money using an existing case. Not that it would worry me, it is a nice enough case. It seems a lot of watch for $300, not so good at $500.
@mywatchreviews
@mywatchreviews Год назад
Wow thats a great spot. I had to Google that watch as I had not heard of it but you are right looking at the images its the same case. Shame in a way as I thought this was perhaps their own design of case. Just goes to show everything is borrowed from somewhere else in most microbrand watches.

That's the first time I've seen one of those. I had no difficulty in reading the indicated time - even before you demo'd how it worked - it seemed pretty obvious to me. I find it interesting, but too expensive.
@mywatchreviews
@mywatchreviews Год назад
Thanks it is obvious but equally needs to be explained. I actually enjoy this relaxed way to tell the time, Its like I am in no hurry to be precise in telling the time.

This is wild because it looks very similar to the recently launched AP Starwheel but you'll have $57,531 leftover for other pursuits! 😂😂
@mywatchreviews
@mywatchreviews Год назад
Haha very true, I think it gets most of its inspiration from the Starwheel. I could do a lot with 57K !
@Gary-Seven-and-Isis-in-1968
This comes as rather a surprise. I've never seen this Wondering hours method of telling the time before, or should that be Wandering hours? Anyway, regardless of how it's spelt. I was salivating initially, then came the finer details. Oh dear! The movement is far better than it need be, with is high rate and automatic complication. But I think the real deal breaker is the price. My watch collection needs an example of this method of measuring time, but I'm going to wait just a little longer until the Chinese copy it and kick it out for £30. 😂Oh yes, it will happen.
@mywatchreviews
@mywatchreviews Год назад
Olto-8 are Chinese. Unfortunately this is the cheapest wondering hours there is. Next one is the Xeric at £800+ I don’t think it will be copied or it if it would come down much in price. You firstly have to take a standard movement and modify it so wheels need to be produced to slow the movement down. Parts then need to be light enough to rotate without slowing the movement. The budget brands I don’t think would tool up for that given it’s a speciality watch with a much smaller paying customer as watches like this do not sell in numbers.
@brian6290
@brian6290 Год назад
It's nice to see this in an affordable watch. It would probably have been too thick with any other budget movement.
@mywatchreviews

This has been tastefully made in my opinion. Keeping the size down makes it more interesting and less garish

Those sides are off a Patek and a few other high horology houses, Moser etc, have cases like that. I like it and jumping hours watches too. It's a waste of a high beat movment in my opinion.
@mywatchreviews
@mywatchreviews 8 месяцев назад
Possibly but high beat also gives you accuracy. Finer gear ratios give better performance. I can only presume that’s why it’s used, also to increase the price of the watch as I would not think buying the movement in bulk would cost you much more.

Price is difficult. You don’t get much now for £300 as it is from any mainstream brand. This has its complication and design so I stand by what I think 300-350 is where I’d think it would sell but I have a feeling it may be launched higher. Their mad design watches clearly sell as this is I think their 4th or 5th model now so must be making enough money to keep producing more.

Good concept, yes, but the case is just too small. Should have been a 43mm dia. to appreciate the spinning discs and read the time clearly. Also, in India, it is terribly overpriced.
