Good on her for her selfless gesture to help a complete stranger. Good on him for taking the time to find her and show his appreciation. Class acts; both of them.
What astonishes me more is that she didnt even expect to get anything in return. It was all just a generous and kind move without expecting any rewards.
As someone who's been to japan, the general public there are well known for going out of their way to help you if you're lost. If you drop a wallet containing 1000 dollars worth of cash on the street or train, you can be almost guaranteed that your wallet will be handed into the police with the money left untouched.
It's definitely awesome she didn't expect anything back “Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked."
@@sin4995 you'll get the hang of it when you get older and date. You never ask a girl her size, you just buy as small as you can for her without seeming too dumb 😂
Not the tourist board. She was personally invited by the Jamaican government, by her selfless act. They will also honor her. She will visit, when the covid die down.
That's Japanese culture. I don't know if any Japanese would have given their money to help. But I know from my own experience that almost every Japanese person would go far to help. These people are exceptionally friendly.
Jamaican people are so great at sports. whenever is open an athletics competition there is a Jamaican guy. Happy to see , Keep it up ........ From - India.
This was such a lovely story. One thing I really would have wished is they took their masks off for 5 seconds for the photo so their faces can live forever with that photo
That’s a true Olympic story that should be told over and over again because off the kindness she showed and the legendary sprinter not forgetting her kindness. It just shows that one small act of kindness can turn into gold.
She has something that is more valuable than Gold in God's eyes, that is her kindness & generosity. And a great gesture by the Olympic Champion Hansle to repay it with a tribute of his own, class inside and out.
The craziest thing is out of all these comments no one notice she probably going through some type of depression she said “ I can’t thank you enough your words saved me a lot”
According to news reports, she is a dispatched staff from Japanese travel agent, and she is half Japanese and half Serbian. She asked other staff to get the best way to go to the stadium asap. However, as he has not got any money, she gave some money secretly because it might be a problem... really nice and beautiful story...
@@Greatgerd just regulations.. totally normal cause what if you "somehow" jeopardize the athlete. They can help only few ways like show where is the site to play.. but not giving more help.. very normal for a foreign tournament
@@Greatgerd In general thinking, it seems she wanted to hide it for him because borrowing money is not looking good. Alternatively, if Olympic staff helps an athlete by money, it might seem that Olympic organizer helps one athlete by money and could be unfair for others, so she may be afraid of against the rules.
@@Greatgerd Because kindness often attract leeches who ruins it for everyone. Every time you do a charity, there will always be scammers who try to exploit it. So officially they need this rule, even if unofficially each person can make their own judgement. The affiliated cabs already has subsidized cost, so the committee already help pay for the cab, the out-of-pocket cost is just a slight incentive for people to take the free bus rather than choosing cabs automatically (who wouldn't take the cab if they're free too? Lol).
Indian Silver medalist Mirabai Chanu tracked all the truckers who dropped her to the stadium during her training days, honoured all of them after her win. These are the gestures which sets good people apart from the 99.9% of world's population. ❣️
@@jaro551 that pain is caused by someone else, the act of being kind does not inflict pain unless someone else causes the hurt in such a case it is not being kind that caused it but the selfishness in the people who kill or inflict pain.
Absolutely. Just one small act of kindness can have ripple effects that not only help others directly, but can also inspire others indirectly, just like this video has done. To keep the kindness moving forward, the first person to respond to my comment directly is going to receive a lunch or dinner on me.
I'm certain that acts of kindness like these happen every day all over the world. Imagine if we could see them or read about them, how much more positive and happy we would all be.
@@rafaelperalta1676 The issues is that we are more attracted to bad news since our instinct in the wild tells us " bad = potential death " so we focus more on the bad than anything else. This instinct carried to today.
When she saw him came back for her, one of the first words she said was thank you. And on her post she said she is full of gratitude and again thank everyone. She's kinda awesome for that.
That’s what “paying it forward” is all about. I love the appreciation he shows. This is something they will share forever. And now we get to share in the joy and humility, too! Thank you.
@@francisdiaz5213 Yes, I guess from which perspective one is speaking. I should have been more clear when I was referring to the young lady "paying it forward." I gave you a thumbs up!
Parchment you are worth more than the gold medal man. You are a beautiful human being. to go back thank someone and return her money and also buy her a small gift appreciating her gesture....you are a gem and so is that lady. No wonder god gave you the gold medal man.
Ohhh, they both are wonderful! One for having a very kind and generous heart, and the other for being grateful and actually showing his appreciation! WELL DONE BOTH OF YOU!! ♥️
I lived in Tokyo for a semester in university and it was due to the kindness of so many strangers that I had such an amazing experience. People really will go out of their way to help you and I will always be thankful for that. Can’t wait to go back some day.
@@norfendi6881 not all tho tbh, I mean yeah there are the kind ones but also there are the non kind/ignorance ones. I met some the rude & not caring ones.
@@joloty9055 not wonder she is so cute and pretty lol, I have friends that a bit looks like her, half Japanese and half Macedonian, also other friend that half Japanese and half Thailand..
Mirabai Chanu, Indian women's weightlifting silver medallist tracked down truckers who used to hitchhike her to her training center, some 30 kilometres away from her home. She gathered all of them and gift them gifts ,as an act of appreciation.
That young lady showed humanity and helpfulness; she is an amazing person. The Olympian Jamaican hurdler Hansle Parchment to seek her out and thank her is admirable; God bless them both.
@@nitinjain5163 ...but how would you know that the act itself wasn't something she did with no regard to getting something in return. I strongly believe when you do something good for someone without thinking, just reacting... that it’s a selfless act. I think this could be one of them
It's nice to see some good news when the whole world has been going through such a bad situation.. Bless her for helping him and congratulations on the gold medal for Hansle and Jamaica : )
An absolutely beautiful example of how acts of kindness can have such significant ripple effects!😊 Salute to her and to Hansle for going back to thank her!!
Worst case: She just did a selfless action. Best case: Worst case + recognition + free holidays in Jamaica Bottom line: Be nice, don't expect anything and be surprised from time to time
Well, no, there are worst cases but those things should not stop you from being kind. I have given money to a homeless person and they screamed at me, that it was not enough. Another threw the food back at me, that I gifted and yelled he wanted money. Someone from the corona-"police" started shouting at me once I gifted him a pack of biscuits, to thank for his hard work. He didn't trust me at all and was furious, since the corona-police was known to harass little grandma's off the benches in parks and break up family picknicks in the sun, "just in case." I've gifted hardworking men some food and they replied: Eh...we brought our own, we're not poor or something." And a couple of artists that asked for bottle-lids and caps, got furious when I brought them the 'wrong ones' and threw them away before I could retrieve them. They told me never to bother them with my 'mess' again, they required lids from coffeecups for example, not bottles. Either way, I can continue to bring down the mood, but I shan't, I just want to say, even when that happens, it's still worth a try, because the result might be great and the intentions matter too, whether people get offended, insulted, angry or otherwise. Because that's what people always do nowadays, so be prepared for that, but don't let it change the way you behave.
Truly heartwarming story. In a world full of pain, anxiety and suffering, these 2 beautiful human beings just brightened my day and grateful to be alive. Thank you for sharing your story.

Man won gold medal and instead of keeping it to commemorate the moment his entire life, he reciprocated kindness, and repaid in full. He has the soul of an angel.
Kindness, especially to a stranger, is always its own reward, but you my friend have shown your class and gratitude to this young woman. Bless you both.
Helping a stranger is amazing, she is kind lady. And he going back in search of her to thank her was incredible. People generally forget help they receive. He is amazing human being.
My heart is warmed by your vlog champ. Not only you made a beautiful and lasting memory for that kind and lovely angel, but you also showed your character, and that weighed heavier than your gold medal, if you ask me. By fulfilling your word, beautiful and magical thing happened. Cheers!
