Olympic Peninsula Road Trip 2 | Hurricane Ridge and Ruby Beach

Hurricane Ridge is such a beautiful place to stop and see on the Olympic Peninsula as you travel around Highway 101 and then it takes you around to Ruby Beach on the Pacific Ocean.
I've been asked how the Hymer Aktiv drives on mountains and steep grades. She's different then the Winnebago 26 foot I had and doesn't engine break with the tow/haul function like the Winnebago so you do have to downshift and touch the brakes when descending. You can see in the video my up hill climb and descent as well on Hurricane Ridge.

★ How I Got Started
Hi, I'm Amber and in May 2017 I started this nomadic journey after selling my house and all my belongings to purse this crazy dream of living out of my RV full-time and traveling all around North America.
After 1 year of traveling I sold my 26 foot Winnebago Class C RV for a more nimble Class B Hymer Aktiv van. I couldn't have been more excited to continue my second year in a van that allows me travel to more places and experience more in life.

Gloria Callahan lol! That's so true! It's a pretty incredible place and the landscape has the amazing dips and valleys. Just standing on the edge you can see the valley roll down, but then it disappears. Just beautiful. I love that shot of the deer munching on grass in that valley. I can only imagine what his eyes have seen. 😄

Love the beautiful scenery. Brings back memories of Pacific Northwest visits. My little Maltese has had similar symptoms in the Carolinas this summer. I love Only Natural Pet holistic healing products from Colorado. Maybe they can help your little dog also. (Onlynaturalpet.com). I'm using the flea/tick spray which is really helping flea dermatitis.

RV Wonderland Why thank you! Ugh the music thing keeps me up at night. haha. Sometimes I can see the scenes and think of what music I "think" will go well with it and then there are times I overlay music and cut it 3 times before I land on the one that I'm trying to convey a feeling. It's a fun process though most of the time. 😌

Hey Amber, thanks again for your great video. I'll be doing the Olympic Highway 101 when I get there in 8 weeks (and counting!) looks amazing and thanks for the heads up about the Quinault Casino parking. I enjoyed seeing the road conditions and hints about the mph etc, as a complete newbie I was worried about that. I hope Lily is getting better.

Thanks for taking me to places I haven't been in countless years. Great views! Ocean Shores has a vet. Too bad you didn't know, cuz you could have stayed longer to see our sights. Hope you come back someday with your cute dog and let her run on our off-leash dog beach. She loves the sand, as all doggies do! Mine love to "dig to China!" That's the only place they are allowed to dig, so they make the most of it when I give the command.

Tela Lewis haha how does it look on your TV? I do shoot in 4K so hopefully the quality is good. Oh I did the name the van, but can you believe I'm still unsure about it. Ocean. I somewhat announced it in the blog post about Cape Flattery. It only came to me after I edited the video and was writing the post.

+ 1152jerry - 💡Words, spoken or written. arranged well and shared with others can leave a person with a lasting wonderful image of the speaker or author. 😊I hope perhaps what you really wanted to say to Amber or intended was that you’d really rather or like to see her beautiful eyes when she makes these great videos and that her sunglasses don’t allow the glimmer and sparkle in her eyes to shine through or that it might seem a little impersonal and it seems to put distance between herself and us (her viewers, subscribers, fans & supporters). 😎Other considerations might be that perhaps she needs to wear the sunglasses because her eyes are light sensitive and really the sun’s rays can be quite damaging to unprotected eyes. After such considerations, you might decide not to say anything at all about the sunglasses and instead, you might just complement her video along with the hard work that went into editing it and share your thoughts about your own personal visit there as you did. If it’s a matter of you personally not liking the aviator style, of which she obviously does like, well that’s a matter of personal style choice. ☝️Thankfully. Amber is such a classy, confident and gracious lady that she has enough room and tolerance within herself to allow you to participate in the comment section, speak freely and even respond by thanking you for watching. I wish you peace and healing with lots of love and courage to let your best self be shown to and shared with others, especially through written words, when there is no voice inflection, gestures or eye contact (sight, sound or touch) to help you convey your message with kindness and compassion.
