Very informative, now I understand all the flash and hotshoe variations. I removed the flash shoes from both my OM-1 and 2 because it’s common for them to crack under even moderate contact (fair enough, they’re very old plastic) also they can deteriorate and stick to the prism damaging the finish. I will just put them on when and if I need a flash or use a portable led panel instead.
Yes Graham. You are quite right in that you can indeed reset the shutter on the OM2n simply by moving the lever to the battery check position...…..much simpler than the method I described which is for the OM2 but which also works on the OM2n. Been so long since I actually used the OM2n that I had forgotten that you could do that, so many thanks for pointing that out. I blame it on senility as a result of old age on my part...….well that and drinking too much Guinness killing off my few remaining brain cells! lol Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed the video.
