Alen's title didn't last. The FIA stripped Alen of his title when they cancelled the results of the 1986 San Remo Rally (The rally in which the Peugeot's were illegally disqualified). Alen soon boycotted the 1987 Monte Carlo rally in frustration over the FIA's decision...

FIA made big mistake,because it did not handle and made final decision San Remo results and points before Olympus.It was uncertain,who actually leads points.Very bad feelings,although both are Finnish.
