Not recognizing that the Greeks would exercise their options is the small detail that led to Prop Joe’s demise. Cheese betraying him is just ironic icing on the cake since Joe saved Cheese from Marlo after the shipment was robbed.

Slim Charles knows what Marlo's gonna do, but Joe has too much faith in the Greeks. That's why I like seeing Slim and Fat Face Rick sit down with the Greeks in the ending.

@@phil-cd6fh that man jumped out a window and broke his leg, was robbing stashes the next day. Pretty sure he wouldn't have gone out easy and then they never get the supply back. Joe smart, he charges the Co-Op extra, and they don't have to wait for another shipment.

Omar was someone he always kept a little secret about knowing. because Omar was robbing all the gangsters, just so happen the last shipment was Joe's too.... Basically he had Joe at checkmate

Omar didn’t sell back all of it tho. He probably split half of it with his crew and Butchie. It would be interesting to know how much he actually had left over. That was a $2,000,000 shipment of drugs as 20 cents on the dollar is $400,000. Prop Joe assumed he was selling the entire shipment back. Once he found out he wasn’t getting all of it back, he probably charged the co-op extra just to cover some of the expenses and worked out something with Vondas. Either way Joe should’ve just kept it quiet and don’t even mention it to the co-op or simply tell Omar thanks but no thanks.

3:20 When Colvin and Weebey were talking about Namond's future, Colvin explained to Weebey that the streets were different from the old days. Colvin noted that today, there is no respect in the streets compared to the times where he and Weebey were in their prime. Proposition Joe, like Avon, was from a different time where family and personal values mattered just as much as the streets and money. Cheese on the other hand didn't value family or carry any personal values at all, he just cared about money and the streets. Cheese betraying his uncle, who refused to have him tortured by Marlo for the drug deal Omar robbed, for Marlo was a symbolic transition instead of just being a business decision. Colvin was talking about Stanfield Organization and whatever came after when he mentioned a world without honor or respect that Namond would walk into. Cheese fit into that world perfectly.

Omar brought in a broken clock, symbolizing Joe ran out of time... Joe gave up the card game to Omar, which he robbed. but instead of Omar giving him joe his cut, he blackmail him to get the drop of the shipment for a bigger payday.. Joe can't shake Omar, now he gotta pay It back.. That's why Joe became a liability and got whacked
