These are such beautiful ideas! I'd been doing "ombre" lips since high school (20 yrs ago) but there was no fancy-schmancy name for it back then...and I only stuck to brown liner with a dark red lip. Never thought to use different colors. Gonna definitely have to try these out (and then some). Thank so much!
Imma be honest the last time I watched this video I was 5 years old....I'm 14 now. (Yes its not a LONG time but it feels like it for me) I used to watch this over and over and over and over.....and over. I loved this video when I was younger.
Very Beautiful Tutorial Mila !!! It's amazing how some people have to knock the tutorial by commenting about how this look came out in the 90's 00's or that look is old because I wore this back in highschool. Well the video shows the looks of the lips before pressing play so why even bother ? But maybe everyone during those times weren't interested in certain looks back then as are now and would like to see vids like this. Its amazing how old styles came back and its called all kind of names. I used to do this to my lips all the time and people use to ask how did you do that and I said just lip liner and lipstick. Hahahah good for you Mila. Welcome to the Ombre look... Very good video...

I once saw a keyshia cole picture and she had ombre lips, fuchsia lip liner and light pink lipstick! I was so jealous and I had no idea how she did that! Well now I do!

i wonder if it would be very inconvenient to have to touch up this look when you go out dining or something... would it work to just reapply the lipstick it the center or would you have to fix the outer contour as well...?
I love this and the first one with nothing in the centre would make life so easy! Little to no marks on cups and glasses and less to rub off when eating! Definitely will try this :)
used to do that in the nineties because I could never find one single shade that would fit my complexion. use three colours to create this look. now they have a name for it. pretty cool
Funny you mentioned this because in my teens I ALWAYS wanted to wear bright bold lips but thought mine were too tiny for it. I gave it a chance and there was no looking back after that. There's a bold lip for every lip shape and size! Fierceness for everyone!

How do you sharpen the mac lip lines, like the ones that are made of plastic instead of wood?? I'm sorry it's just that I bought one and it is made out of plastic and when I tried to sharpen them it broke.

Drag Queens in my town did ombré lips before they were cool, because the center lighter color makes them pop on stage. so they didn't even intentionally make them ombré, they did it for the appearance of bigger lips.
+Robbert Nyhan right! pretty much all the make up tricks being done now is from drag. the highlight and contour, lips and over exaggerated lips, thick brows although some drags prefer the extra skinny ones and the really big full lashes as well. they just thinking its new like the banana powder. drags been using that and krylon for years/decades. glad im not the only realized it lol

You could totally do this with cheap drugstore dupes, just like pretty much any other makeup look on RU-vid. You could probably spend $10-$15 on Wet 'n Wild products and get the same look.
