Love the ombre fabrics. Also like how you addressed the pressing issues. Easy to understand. Cleared up the issues of aligning triangles to sew accurately!
I love variegated/ ombré fabric but never know how to use it. This makes me want to buy this fabulous fabric with confidence! Rob you are sew fun to watch. Keep it up!
I really like the ombre' fabric too. I am happy that you have found this hobby in your recovery. You are truely funny to watch and make all your tutorials informational as well.
did I miss the giveaway from last week? maybe I'm a week behind. I'm loving this ombre quilt! had to download it immediately. Thanks Rob? this is one I'll have to watch over and over. 🌈
Such a fun quilt with fabrics that make it look more complex. You were my “dinner date” as I watched this while enjoying my meal! Thank you, it was a delight!
i love ombre, too! The colors take my breath away!! Love this quilt! It would be really helpful if a list of what was needed to make this project was provided in a "what you need for this project" (how many yards of this and that. . .) in the comments below the tutorial. Love that the pattern is FREE! Thanks Rob, I appreciate your enthusiasm!
I am trying to make this quilt right now. So confusing, due to lack of a notched point on my ruler... (didn't even know that existed) and also the pattern isn't clear about the dark to light (chasing the light) so without this tutorial I don't think I could have figured it out without MANY mistakes! Thanks!
Thank you, I have been very busy in other parts of my life and have not had time to watch your videos. Your energy and talent are inspiring. I have downloaded the pattern and it talks about 10.5 inch triangles and I think you said you used 8.5. I guess this pattern will be easy to enlarge or scale down.
Actually, there was an issue with your website recently, we had made a change to use the 8 1/2" size. Please use 8 1/2" if you go bigger you will not get 6 + triangles from each strip - and you need 6 per strip.
Hi Rob this is your new friend from South Florida! I want to know how I can get yardage of that ombré . I am in the middle of a project that will benefit from it. Thank you
I am finally getting to catch up. I love this. I do not have a local shop that carries Michael Miller. Where can I buy it? Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
I think it might just be that simple, however, you made still need to add a border or two to make the size fit, but my quick calculations say you are real close and ready to. rock your King Size quilt!
Same here. I did find a Burkholder Fabrics in Denver, PA that has it, but I don't know anything about this company. They have a Facebook page. Wish I knew enough about sewing and fabric to open my own shop! Not a good idea for this number-challenged and way over the hill lady.
@@cjshadow-o2k I am very hesitant on order from companies I don't know or a friend knows about. Not at any of my normal places or websites. 😉 I will let you know if I find a place I trust that has it.
@@emily-is-here I debated on that one but didn't want to from dark light and dark again. I like the one he showed for my project as just from dark to light with a flair. I found some uncorked fabric along with another line. Ordered today so I get in time, since orders are taking so long to get to you now, I wanted to make sure I got it in plenty of time. :)
Nice quilt. Why did you do your quilt smaller than the pattern? According to the pattern instructions you cut the strips to 10 1/2 inches and use the 12 1/2 ruler.
hi Rob, love this quilt but l just checked the pattern and it says to cut 10 1/2 inch strips - is your version 8 1/2 inch strips?? Many thanks hoping for a reply :)
