I find it quite incredible how your comment on a bagpipe version of a 43 year old song has garnered 14 likes in just 2 weeks. Proof that rather than being left in the depths of history, this song is still very much alive. People are very much listening to it.
Maid Of Orleans is one of the OMD tracks that always moves me to tears without fail (every single time i swear lol) This version, with the bagpipes; had me weeping in my bathroom at 2 A.M. Amazing stuff
I'm as Italian as Italians come. I'm from south of Rome but damn damn damn this brings tears to my eyes and I respect the Scottish feeling that transpires here!!
Superb. The pipes give such an atmospheric feel to the song. I love the bagpipes. You don't hear them used in modern music very often but this really works. Such an uplifting version. This is why I moved to Scotland. The pipes are so underrated.
Wow, I grew up on the Wirral where OMD are from and my mum and dad worked in Cadburys.. The home of the Wirral Pipe Band. I do love the bagpipes and home grown talent 😍😍👌
This really should have been released as an alternative (re)mix because it really works. It's a heck of a lot more authentic sounding and fits the song like a glove.
I have travelled to many places in England, Wales, and Europe and never found anywhere more beautiful than the Highlands of Scotland, but I am biased I admit as I'm half Scottish
