Hi Mike. Watches aside, this watch in particular, Project Orbis is a fantastic charity. I (luckily) lived in Hong Kong in the mid 90’s where the Project Orbis flying eye hospital was based. Someone dear to me worked for them on a charitable basis and often flew to Sri Lanka to perform eye operations. Often simple cataract operations were all that were required to restore sight. I now work for an eye health organisation so thank you for supporting this and thank Omega for supporting an amazing charity. 😁🙏👍
What an elegant watch, and such a worthy cause. I have the caliber 2500D in my Seamaster Diver 300, and it is my most accurate timepiece at +0.1 seconds per day. Thank you for sharing. I think this is my favorite video of yours!
Wow what a great story told. To help the ones in need for better eyes. How appropriate for you to have this watch an to support Orbis. Hopefully the watch community will step up. Thank you sir the best to you an family.
Omega DeVille is a great line of watches. Seldom talked about and rarely reviewed. Beautiful piece and great collaboration between Omega and Orbis. Excellent video and enjoy your bears mate.
Great watch! Omega make great watches and it is always nice to see companies helping/being in partnership with charities and worthy causes, Omega from what I see in this video seems to be first to do this except perhaps Oris with their partnership with the ocean cleaning of plastic waste. It will be great if more watch companies did this kind of thing 👍
Every year my local Omega boutique does a children’s fundraiser for Christmas. I always donate Star Wars legos as what kid doesn’t love those two things? I am saving for a Good Planet Plant Ocean GMT. I can understand why you enjoy the watch so much.
Nice to see you back on AC3 channel. I messaged you on this watch before. I just realised my watch is exactly the same as this one minus the Orbis. Mine is DeVille prestige silver dial. I like Archie, unfortunately he said the Omega DeVille prestige was a shitter. Then in another video he said a 18k gold DeVille was a great watch. In his videos from 12 years ago he was consistent, now he is allover the place.
I know this is late but I’m thinking about buying one. Only thing is what value will it hold will it go up or down in value? Thanks in advance if anyone can help
Stefan Widen thank you 🙏. Unfortunately that’s very risky proposition considering the value of collection and that I keep 95 % of my timepieces in bank safe, rotating on biweekly basis. But maybe once I will take a risk and do it.
@@bearclooneywatches4186 Yes that makes perfect sense, I do believe a lot of people would appreciate a run down, could be filmed over a few weeks as well I would assume, almost always agree with your selections, terrific taste in time pieces imo
Bear can you answer a question regarding this Orbis De Ville watch? Does it have the same anti magnetic qualities as other Omega watches? If you put a magnet behind it and the second hand stops is it a fake?
