It's a good looking Speedmaster. At one point in time you could buy these for a lot less than Euro 3,570. I did consider one and decided there was more important things than buying another watch. Now I wish I had purchased it because it would almost cover the cost of a new 321.
Yes, I (RJ) paid around 2350 Euro for it, already after discontinuation. It was during a trip to Japan that I was offered this BNIB Speedmaster Tintin at BIC Camera. And they had many :-). The price here in Europe was already at around 4K at the time. But today, if I need to shell out 12K for one, and even more for a NOS, I'd definitely go Speedmaster Calibre 321.
This watch has to be seen in the metal to be appreciated. The white and red paint really pops against the black dial. Also remember it’s all hand painted!
Thanks for this video! This Speedmaster has a deeper black dial than the regular version, offset by beautiful red and white. Its limited production run and the story behind it makes it a very collectieve Speedmaster indeed. 👍
True words have been spoken! For me (RJ), the watch is definitely nice, but not worth the premium. I had that feeling when it was creeping up to around 4K Euro already, at the time. Today's price is way over the top, but as you say, it is worth the amount someone wants to pay for it. For whatever reason.
And here I am having passed on a Tin Tin a few years ago thinking I could pick it up a little later without any issue. Now theres an issue in the sum of 7k higher than what i passed on it for
I call this the Omega Croatia 😅 i fell in love with this watch when it was released because of my croatian background and its relationship to the red and white checkers. Unfortunately, i was still in school when it was released, and i did not have the money for a purchase like that. I think the prices now are too high. If they ever do drop back down, this is definitely a watch that is on my wish list. Beautiful piece
This watch is highly overrated - I bought 2 - sold both for retail... but somehow I was missing it, then found one for retail in Lugano and kept it ever since. However, I would never pay such a price for it
I like the watch as I do with almost all Speedmasters. For my money I would rather get a pristine Ed White for historical reasons and because it’s the OG. For £3k, all day long but that ship has long passed unfortunately!
Nah, the so called Tintin is not for me. If there is a genuin Omega-story to the watch it may be interesting from a collectors perspective. I have reckoned the Tintin on Chrono24 but never paid any interest to it because the red and white is, in my opinion, too much.
The reason I dislike this guy from watching a few of his videos: he always gives off this “I told you so” smug look/smile. I don’t know. Some people just can’t help it. Lol. I need to hit don’t recommend this channel more on RU-vid.
Just another Boring Speedy theme watch when no one bought it then, and still is today. Produced only by Omega to spinoff the Moon story in Tintin 🙄🙄🙄 Price increase is only due to low production and the general watch hype these days.
