He is rapping first in English, the 2nd part and the chorus are in Tagalog/Filipino, the 3rd rap is in Ilocano language (the part where he became very angsty), then he began to code switch between Tagalog/Filipino and English (basically mixing them) I can translate the Tagalog parts but I don't speak Ilocano so I cannot translate that part lol. I’m a Filipino but I only understood the Tagalog and English part . In this song he used 3 languages which is Tagalog , English and Ilocano (a dialect here in the Philippines). Based on his rap he was discriminated due to his skin color and appearance which led to him not being treated as a Filipino but either way he is proud of it. Recently for me , Filipinos have been accepting of Foreigners and half Filipinos they are even proud of being a Filipino. Dude, I understand completely your reaction, I get every bit of it. This is going to sound a little over the top but without getting into it I promise you it's the truth, this dude helped in a large way to save my life! I know that sounds like a fucking mouthful but I was at the end and I was ready to move on from this world. By a series of circumstances I ended up seeing him and h-bom do Cultura on Wishbus -- first time I've ever heard them, first time I ever heard of Ez and somehow it moved me in a way that made things matter again. Of course one of the first things I did was consume everything I could that he'd ever put out and then I bought tickets to his first ever concert and flew out to Las Vegas and sat 10 feet from him while he went off!! Then, after the show, met his glorious mother, Hazel, who brought me back into his little dressing room and introduced me to him!! What a fantastic family, not just the family but their extended family and all the Filipino men and women that I have met. This whole experience has affected me profoundly, I've met so many wonderful wonderful people. And because of them: Maria, Jeremy, Sheela, Jamaica, Alan, Rose, and Hazel, Doc Homer, Usher, Ez, Rezzi, H-bom and M and so on, that dark part of my world that really wasn't that long ago almost seems like it never existed. I brought a good size Philippines flag with me to the show, that's where the "Three Stars and the Sun" comes from... it's the crest on the flag and I was lucky enough to get Sheela to pass it to Ez on stage while he was closing out the show doing Panalo, he's doing the last quarter of the song with the flag in his hands and then draped it defiantly over his shoulders as he ended the song so hard. When Hazel took me to the dressing room afterwards he had the flag and I told him I was the one that brought it and had it passed up to him, to which he signed it and handed it back to me and it's one of my cherished possessions. The day after the concert he once again showed what he's all about when he made a video that he posted on RU-vid thanking everybody for coming to the show and he actually was holding the gift I gave him, which was a painting of Venom, and was genuinely shocked at the outpouring of love that he received and that anybody would even give him a gift! For such a bright and powerful and talented young man he keeps himself grounded and I'm sure a lot of that has to do with his wonderfully beautiful, talented in her own right, and kind mother, Hazel. It's completely amazing how the whole experience has so transcended the music, I consider myself very lucky! Oh that's me and him in my profile pic if you can make it out, that was in his dressing room after the show.

Hi April, please also check Ez Mil's "IDK" song. You don't need sub for this one, aside from its in english, the editing/graphics will help you understand it more. But most proabably, it would nearly impossible that anyone can just get all the meaning in one sitting hearing this song, cause it's bar heavy trust me. Fun fact, he does the lyrics, video, editing etc. of his songs (some people could have helped as well). You can tell that some are low budget because his an independent artist/no label and probably keep it that way. But it doesn't take away the the truth that he's very talented. I have a lot to say about this talent! Through out the whole song, he actually samples an old traditional Filipino folk song from the Spanish colonial era. The song he samples is called "Cariñosa", and he made a trap beat over it. And the line "I've been to Spain, but the letter S is silent (Pain). I'm claimin' my reign like a king so I can water crops for survivin" is a double meaning. Filipinos suffered for over three centuries from Spanish colonial rule, and we fought back for our freedom from oppression. That line can also mean how much he endured to become the viral artist he is today. Also in this song, he raps in 3 languages: English, Tagalog at 12:29, and Ilocano at 12:42 (one of the 170+ languages in the Philippines). I tried to ask my dad to translate what EZ Mil was screamin about in the Ilocano part (cause my dad speaks ilocano), but he didnt give me any details. My dad just said "He's swearing a lot" and walked away 😂 Oh and the "discrimination" part was when he was called a "Tisoy". Tisoy comes from the word "Mestizo" which means mixed race, but now it means someone who looks Caucasian. I saw in another video where he describes feeling left out a lot growing up because he looks mestizo.

I relate to you so much with the beginning statement, I used to know so much American songs back in my elementary days now in College i only know very few recent ones and they're mostly from the OG old school artists like Adele- Easy on me, most of my songs on playlist that are American are those released near 2000 from OG artist. Today most American Music i find are full of flexing, money, sex, autotunes, etc. it just doesn't vibe with me. Philippines is a very diverse country with a lot of cultures mixed in history, By skin color they can be white, brown, black and so they can also look American, Latino, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai etc. But of course a very diverse country means one of the prone problems is discrimination and one of the still active one is discrimination against Very dark skinned people just like how in america black and white racism instead here it's Black vs. Every other skin racism
