Bob Seger never had a bad tune. He can pull the heartstrings as well as rock down the house. Picking my favorite Seger song is like picking my favorite child.....can't be done.
Bob Seger is a great rock singer, songwriter & musician known for his raspy powerful voice. He wrote & recorded songs that dealt with love, women & blue-collar themes. He had so many great songs especially in the 70's-80's such as "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man", "Night Moves", "Turn The Page", "Mainstreet", "Still The Same", "Hollywood Nights", "Against The Wind", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Shame On The Moon", "Roll Me Away", "Like A Rock", "Shakedown", "We've Got Tonight" & "Old Time Rock & Roll".
A lot of people take this as a one night stand thing. I've never taken it that way. This reminds me of drifting back to an old lover you've just run across by chance or a chance meet up at a party. Why not? One night and you may not see each other for another 10 years. Can't pick a bad Bob Seger song, that is the challenge. Go upbeat, "Old Time Rock n Roll".
I agree, it's a old girl friend that he still cares about. I know your plans don't include me, is not what a person is thinking about with a one night stand.
I will watch the video...I love Bob. He has sooo many excellent, beautiful songs. Old Time Rock and Roll is a good one. It is more upbeat. Thanks for playing his music. He is one of ma6of my old time favorites ❤
I do love them all, but "Like a Rock" hits me in a lot of places. Looking back on a fine, but lost youth, and the sublime guitar work fits it so perfectly. This song stands out to me like few others, by any artist. I would love to hear what you think of Like a Rock.
As a teen, growing up in Detroit, in the middle of disco (which I hated), Seger was a rock hero for me. This is my favorite ballad of his. Night Moves and Turn the Page are tied for first. All the rest of his music is on my all time favorites list.
My very first concert in Dallas, Texas 1978. I was 17 and fell head over heels in love with Bob's music. Such wonderful memories of that concert. Thanks, dude! Great reaction, as usual.
Love Bob Seger! My fav Seger song is whichever one he’s singing at the moment. Michael McDonald is just as good. Try “Taking it to the Streets” by The Doobie Brothers. 🙂
Old Time Rock and Roll and Some Day Lady You'll Accompany Me are two of my favorites. I love the other ones you've reacted to and Katmandu, which few talk about anymore (especially on the Live with a Bullet album).
You cannot go wrong with Bob Seger! If you haven’t listened to Turn The Page. You will absolutely love it. Vocals and instrumentals are out of this world.
favorite Seger songs: against the wind, The famous final scene, feel like a number, rock and roll never forgets. bam. whatever , your videos are frkn great.
Hard to choose. There are so many. But my personal favorite is "Fire Lake". It not his most popular for sure, but for some reason I never get tired of listening to it. It's such a good "open road" feel of freedom tune. Best lyric: "Who wants to ride that chrome three-wheeler? Who wants to make the first mistake? Who wants to wear those Gypsie leathers?" You have the greatest reaction videos-you share pure joy!! Thank you for making this 54 year old sometimes lonely happy with you talent and smile!! Believe me there are a lot of us that I’ve to see young people like you appreciating our music. From the bottom of my heart and smiling as I write this, thank you!
Respect...like your reaction to Atumn closing in...and the sisters in general (to whom Bob acknowledged in his Rock and roll Hall of fame acceptance speach)...albeit it brief...both of you are true stars
I love all of Bob Seger's songs , but my favorite fast song is "fire down below" "Brave strangers" "Rambling gambling Man" "Traveling Man" "Beautiful loser" "Her strut" "Fire lake" "Shining brightly" "Main Street" "Fire inside" U.M.C. (upper middle class) "Bo Diddley" "Heavy music" "Against the wind" "Betty lou's gettin out tonite" "Get out of Denver" "Turn the page" "Hollywood nights" "Long twin silver lines" "Feel like a number" "Still the same" And many more My favorite slow songs are "Famous final scene" "Jody girl" And "We got Tonite" His #1 hit was from the movie Beverly hills cop 2 "Shakedown"
Bob Seger Influences are little Richard , Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Spencer Davis, Bo Diddley and the sounds of Motown. His live bullet album you can definitely hear the little Richard influence . He get funky with it in the heavy music and Bo Diddley songs
Favourite of all time? Dude that depends on my mood. "Old time rock n roll" when energetic. "Like a rock" when reminiscent etc. There are lots man. Cant just pick one. Kinda like all good artists, songs for moods. #HOG
