It’s the fact that kristina wanted wille to go to a therapist in the beginning and it backfired on her at the end! Boris helped wille be true to himself and make him understand that it’s okay to stop being a people pleaser even though you’re crown prince! Love him for that❤️

It's a very "let's start a revolution" kind of moment. In my mind Wilhelm wants nothing more than being able to face this things with Simon... I saw a comment somewhere saying that Wille's end of the speech was his way of proving Simon he loves him back with ACTIONS instead of words this time, and he definitely did that!!

I know you're partly joking when you asked if Simon could not have come to they conclusion in the beginning of the season, but the thing is he really couldn't. He needed time to reflect, needed to try to get over Wille and date someone else to realize Wille is the one for him and he truly loves him. Also, he hadn't truly understood before that Wille had a lot of pressure from his family. I guess he kind of knew it on a surface level, but not truly understood. He saw them almost pull Wille away from school, saw them change the song at the last minute with no consideration... Plus, there was the book they read, which helped them see things from each other's perspectives. And I think Sara's betrayal at the end also made him not want to lose someone else he loved, and decide to be a bit more flexible with his morals. It wasn't ideal and he didn't want to be a secret, but ultimately he wanted even less to be without Wille.

Simon willingness to be with him in his accord’s of being a secret made Wilhelm have the corage to go public, each one made the sacrifice for the other, proving they love each other and being together is the most important. Great writing.

season 2 really felt more like a steppingstone season, it sets up a season 3 perfectly for pretty much every character

I’m sorry but I have to get this off my chest somewhere, SARA IS FUCKING LYING! She did NOT do the things she did out of love?? Maybe that was the reasoning for snitching but it was not the reason she kept Augusts secret from her bother in the first place. She did it for status and climbing the social latter, like literally the first thing she did when catching August was to make him help her get into the dorms. She just thought about herself und her needs while her brother was publicly going through hell. So I do not care AT ALL about her freaking pity party “boohoo everyone hates me just because I was young and in love” bullshit, sorry not sorry. I really really hope they adress that next season because like I can have empathy for her reasons being that she felt sick of being the outsider her whole life BUT I want her to take complete accountability that she hurt the people closest to her in the process for personal gain. Even if she didn’t realize that till the end. Otherwise she will honestly not be redeemable for me :/

I do think we really needed all the things that happened in this season for the ending to occur. Both Wilhelm and Simon grow in this season and let go of some of the selfish behavior they have evidenced in the past. One of the best things about this series is that it does not make any of its characters flat stereotypes. Even the characters you like the best make mistakes; the ones we like the most, like Wilhelm and Simon, are the ones who learn from the mistakes they make.

Idk if this is just me but I feel like when wille looked at the camera end of season one, his face almost said “this is what you’re causing” and the end of season two his look was like “we (the lgbt) are not going to be silenced” I feel like the looks are so different and have such a different spirit to them. It’s so powerful.

My favorite part about the ending of S2 is Wilhelm is essentially saying, "Fuck closets. I don't want to be in one anymore, and I'm not forcing Simon back into one. It'd make him so unhappy and he deserves better. I don't want him to be my secret." Season 2 was PERFECT IMO. If we don't get more seasons, I'm marching on Netflix headquarters. My major fear for season 3 (🤞🏻we get one) is a HUGE one. Sara going to the cops about August leaking the tape is great. I love it. It's Sara taking responsibility for her complicity in his August's actions. August could potentiality (though unlikely), be held accountable for what he did. Great stuff. The thing I worry about is if this will lead into an investigation of Simon. Will the cops go after Simon for supplying the booze to Wilhelm's welcoming party? Could he be prosecuted for stealing his dad's pills and having August sell them at Hillerska since August didn't have money to pay Simon for the booze? My biggest fear is that all this joy and emotional/relationship growth will lead to Simon's peril when it's finally Wilhelm and Simon's opportunity to be openly, unashamedly, happily a couple. August paying for Rousseau was sweet and shows that does have genuine feelings for Sara, but August will ALWAYS put himself first. How the hell was she supposed to continue to afford Rousseau, huh? August may have bought her the physical horse, but horses cost to feed, board, vet bills, etc. Thoroughbreds are especially expensive. It shows he did not understand or care about HER life. It was all about him and how Sara made HIM feel. Sara had to put her own fucking food back when her friends thoughtlessly left it for Sara to pay for all of their coffees that one morning. Sara had to use her savings account money to pay for her friends' luxuries. A lot of thoughtless behavior from rich people all around on this show, but it was a particularly thoughtless "gift" from August. The wildest, but most face-saving idea to solve the blackmail for everyone in season 3 (I only want to protect August just to keep Simon from any potential trouble) is if Simon's dad takes responsibility for all of the drugs, booze, and stuff as some kind of atonement for his past unspecified abusive behavior. Yes, Micke being a horrible father/husband who refused help for addiction is enough justification for the level of anger Sara and Simon feel towards him, but I always got the feeling there was a bigger picture there. Their dad is obviously not afraid to be physically violent with them- judging by how he grabbed Simon and slammed him against the wall in S1. I think something major happened in their family before the show. Possibly something bad Micke did that he should have been turned into the police for, but wasn't for some reason. Micke going to jail for one of his kids would in a fucked up way hypothetically be him taking responsibility for what he could've done bad then and finally chosen his childrens' wellbeing over himself. Simon never wanted to do that drug shit in the 1st place. August gave him no choice. Simon never would've done it otherwise. Every time August did something bad, he knew it was illegal and did it anyway because he WANTED to. 100% choice on his end. I know, TLDR, but season 2 gripped me so hard. I NEED a season 3... and 4... and 5.

S3 has Been announced!!! I binged season one and two a couple of days ago and wow this is an amazing story so beautifully written and the acting is just perfect! I can’t wait for season 3 so they can finally have a happy ending they deserve!! I just hope we don’t have to wait to long I can’t wait for it I need it now 😂

I was so annoyed by Simon's inability to empathize Wilhem's situation-- nor comprehending how many times Wille saved him from the wrath of August. But then I realized... If Simon gave in so easily, how many other aspects of their relationship would be out of his control? Some might be okay with being secret, for love, but we forget that this character has career ambitions. Point in case: The national coverage his solo would have gotten if Jan-Olof hadn't scrapped it, knowing it would be too easily scrutinized in relation to the recent scandal. That doesn't mean I was disappointed when Simon finally agreed to be incognito, but Wille knew immediately that he didn't have to, for him, or anyone else. The ending was more than just to regain trust or make amends, but to give Simon back his power in how their relationship thrives. Perfection.

Love this full circle of season 2 ending where we wished season 1 to end. And I love this message in the end: The truth will free and protect you. As lets face it, with Wille outing himself and Simon, he made it much harder for his family to cut him off and replace him with August without a scandal AND it shall protect the kronprince's boyfriend from his cousin's mischief. As Wille and so his partner should be more important than August.

When you were asking why Alexander would cover for August, I think August has him convinced that he’s now powerful with being ‘the spare’ & could stop him from actually getting into any real trouble and would also make it worth his while (wink wink nudge nudge) to help. Sadly he also probably has Alexander convinced he’s a nobody & would get nowhere without his help & with August’s help he could become powerful. 🙄😔 I *loved* the little smirk/smile that Wille gave to camera at the end. I'm glad you just remembered that Sara has now gone to the police 😬🤯 and she is unaware of the other consequences for Simon on their dad's drugs and that will likely have repercussions (imaginging even if queeny dearest agrees they can see each other which is still highly unlikely) as she would likely take back any offer or compromise or even set back their plans to not tell on August and either sit quiet for the 2 years like they just agreed or hand over reign to August and get Wilhelm out of being next in line to throne. There are so many battles and consequences that we need to see so we definitely need a season 3!!! They just need to announce it!! NOW

On the Sara - Horse thing, yes it's true that the horse isn't hers, so she has no say over where he goes or who he's sold to, but you have to also understand that Rousseau was her life, Felice did nothing for that horse. Sara rode him, fed him, groomed him, and looked after him 24/7 every day because Felice wanted nothing to do with it. If you had a friend who owned a dog that basically lived at your house all the time because your friend didn't want to walk them or look after them, and you became attached to the dog, then learned they were selling the dog to dog abusers or planning to abandon it somewhere because they couldn't be bothered with it anymore, would you not be upset? Not owning the dog doesn't mean you don't get to care about the animal, but yes it does mean, lawfully, that she has no say or sway over what happens. But I completely understand her feelings regarding the horse and how sad she is. Plus, remember, she's autistic, she has aspergers. Her emotions tied to that horse are very strong, and it's never a good feeling to lack control when its in regards to something you care about, especially for someone who is autistic. Excuses none of her actions, I just understand her emotions towards the horse. EDIT: Also, from later in the episode, I fear that Sara going to the police might backfire, somehow? I mean, she is Simon's sister, the guy in the video... how will they not just assume she's trying to cause trouble/backlash? The only proof she has is what she SAW, and throwing August under the bus... I think Wille is still right, they will take August's side.

If I remember correctly, and I could be wrong because I didn't watch season one until quite a bit after it came out, season 2 wasn't confirmed for quite a few months after season 1 ended. So I wouldn't be surprised if we don't have to wait a little while to hear about a season 3.

I think that August did a really good job of convincing Alexander that he wouldn’t get convicted and that if he did August would be in the position to forgive it. Also august probably made it sound like it would be impossible to know exactly WHO posted the video, only that it was from his telephone. And that Alexander is a minor so even if things turned the wrong way he wouldn’t have a strict punishment. Honestly it’s just august lying and manipulating him imo because at this point he’s desperate and has probably run out of options

One thing I didn't realize until later was that Sara might have screwed up everything by calling the police. When you think about it you see that Wille said it was him in the video with the mind that he would have August as a backup BUT Sara doesn't know that if she calls Wille will no longer have a backup and she will fuck her brother who it's going to be handed over for drug trafficking so I NEED another season to find out what happens PLEASE SEASON 3

Everything was perfect, but Sara could potentially fuck it all up, going to the police. Wille suddenly found his voice, speaking his truth. Same happened after Erik's funeral in S.1. We NEED S.3.! Redemption for Sara...her biggest mistake was loving and trusting a dyed in the wool gobshite. And not seeing how that would impact Simon. Punishment for said gobshite. Acceptance of Wille & Simon. Someone delicious for Felice.... she's bloody earned it!

everyone who I’ve seen watch/ comment gets so excited that Sara is reporting, and I don’t get it, because that’s disastrous. First of all, it’s incredibly disrespectful to Simon, taking his agency and choice away (what Edvin allowed him to have in making the decision); she’s only doing it now to “fix” her shithole she put herself in relationally; she didn’t care when she found out who victimized him in the first place; she didn’t help him, she used it for leverage; Simon made a choice for himself to NOT hurt their families; cause the pain and fallout and all the repercussions of that going public - now she’s causing more pain; and now, August will be unable to be back up. She’s a selfish asshole and it’s a bad turn. All the joy and freedom Simon & August have there at the end is about to get blown apart by her actions.
